Sharpay smiled as she, too, reminisced about last year's rehearsal. 'Bop the the Top' was their masterpiece, they could have saved it for another performance if it wasn't for the callbacks. She wasn't complaining though, it had been really fabulous, they were just beaten out by some feelings.
She shrugged the thought away, and concentrated on the now. With the newfound feelings they possess, she couldn't help but wonder if they could beat East High's hottest couple this time, and maybe steal that title away from them. She grinned at her wild imaginations, lightly shaking her head.
"I know. As long as you're my dancing and singing partner, I know it'll be great. I mean, who else has got moves like yours? Troy couldn't even shake his hips the way you do." She winked at him, chuckling lightly.

Ryan looked at her quizically, chuckling ever so slightly. "What is it with people and my hips?" He asked shaking his head ever so slightly. "And I dunno, I think your moves might be better than mine, most definitely." He said with a decided nod.

Sharpay giggled, looking him over, and resting her eyes on his hips for some seconds. "Well, I guess since 'Bop to the Top', they had been in love with your hips." She said, raising her gaze up to meet his eyes again. "I don't blame them, though. I think it's sexy." She grinned up at him, wiggling her eyebrows a little.
"Oh, and no...I won't win a musical role without your dance moves. That's one of the qualities that makes the Evans twins undefeated, before Troy and Gabriella came along." She nodded at him, smiling.

Ryan raised his eyebrows at her eyebrow wiggle. "Stop, it's like you're undressing me with your eyes when you do that." He jested, quoting what she had said to him when he last did it to her. He looked at her with a genuine smile plastered to his face. "I bet you could get into the musical without me, I just wouldn't want you to." He said looking at her softly, the smile forming lightly in the corners of his mouth.

Sharpay laughed loudly, swatting his arm, when he quoted her own phrase. She shook her head at what he said after that, smiling at him. "No, I won't. We're a team. That's what makes us stand out. It's like...we complete each other. Like two puzzle pieces." She let out a happy sigh.
"And I know that before, I yearned for individuality, for me to be known just as Sharpay Evans, not a part of Sharpay and Ryan Evans, but now...it's just...it just makes sense." She said, looking into his eyes. "It just makes sense." She smiled at him, recalling the last time she had said that, they were talking about her and Troy.

Ryan couldn't help but laugh when she uttered the phrase. "It just makes sense." , he had heard that line before, but never with his name attached in the proper context.
He could remember the last day of school clearly now, the pink shirt he wore, he had actually done it as an out and out move of defiance. He had another outfit picked out that day that matched Sharpay's, but he had decided against wearing another outfit that made him look like her accessory, so he went with pink and blue, just to clash with her.
He remembered standing by her locker and she oggled Troy to no avail once again, and Ryan could admit for once he wasn't paying attention to her mindless Bolton babble. He was looking at someone else.
"Shar," He started softly. "I have to tell you something that might seem irrelevant now, but I need to tell you so that there are no secrets." He said slowly, trying to think of his words, hoping she'd still know that now she was all he'd ever need.

Sharpay's eyebrows raised in curiosity and confusion. It seemed like whatever Ryan is going to say, it's something serious. She nodded gently at him, her mind wondering what he would like to say. As much as she want to use the twin telepathy gift right now, she decided she would just let him tell her things the old-fashioned way.
"What is it, Ry?" She asked softly, her eyes searching his own for some clue.

He let out a sigh, it was still fairly irrelevant, but he didn't want them to go the rest of their lives with a petty secret. "Before I got with you," He rubbed the back of his head. "There was someone else that was on my mind." He said cracking his neck nervously. "I mean I didn't like her remotely like this, but I just thought that with you trying to get Troy, I didn't want to be alone anymore." He said looking down at his shoes.
He looked at her softly. "And it's not Gabi, so no worries there." He added, hoping that would make it better.

Sharpay felt somehow relieved that it's not Gabriella, but she couldn't help but feel her stomach twinge a little at the mention of Ryan liking someone else. But she shook the little jealous feeling away, not wanting to ruin the moment.
"Oh..." she had originally intended to ask "Who?" but it came out like that. She cleared her throat, trying to find her voice again. "Who was it?" She asked him, hoping he wouldn't see the green-eyed monster in her eyes.

Ryan tried to find his voice again, hoping he could just say it and that would be the last of it, he'd never have to bring it up again. "Ummm... it was Kelsi." He said in an awkward mumble. He was hoping that she wouldn't read too much into this, especially since once Ryan and Sharpay had their falling out, he had focused his full attention on trying to woo Kelsi.
He looked at her earnestly, hoping she'd understand that she needed to hear this now, or it would be something that would come up later, and possibly cause as many problems as the idea of Troy still did for him.

Sharpay was having an inner battle, she was fighting the green-eyed monster, hoping she would win. "Oh...Kelsi. Right." She mumbled back, her gaze shifting slightly. She suddenly realize how selfish she is being, after all, she was all about Troy before she realized her true feelings for Ryan. She suddenly understood the feeling, wanting to slap and kick herself for being such a selfish brat.
She grabbed his hands that she realized she had let go a little while ago, smiling at him. "Thanks for telling me." She said, finally meeting his eyes once again.

Ryan smiled as she took his hands again, he took that as an okay sign, this would just bring them closer together in the end. "I just thought you needed to know that," He said softly. "I don't ever think I really liked her, I just didn't want to be alone, and she was there." He said shrugging lightly. "Projection." He said simply as he smiled down at her.

Sharpay squeezed his hands lightly, pulling him closer to her again. "No explanations needed." She said simply, nodding at him. "You had the right to like other girls, just like how I liked Troy. I was just being...selfish, I guess." She said, shrugging her shoulders. "Sorry about that." she looked apologetically at him. She wouldn't want him to think she is the always jealous kind of girlfriend, or the controlling type.

Ryan looked at her happily, he was just glad that she was okay with him liking someone else, it still didn't change the fact she was his first real girlfriend, his first kiss, and she would be his first everything else.
He looked at her happily. "I know you aren't the jealous type, and you have no reason to be, I'm all yours, always wil be." He said winking at her happily.

Sharpay smiled while a blush slowly crept up on her face. "I don't know why I feel so jealous of those girls who try to get close to you. It's not that I don't trust you, it's just that I know they want you as much as I do, and they'd probably do crazy stuffs to try and get you." She said, looking up at him.
"I'm really glad you're mine." She leaned in until their lips were so close but barely touching.
