The summer fade away so fast, like winter blossoming flowers. The end of a history, the beginning of a legacy.
Of course, the end wasn't all bad. New adventures have been formed, new love blossomed, new friendships made, all this under the Albuquerque sun.
Just to signify this end, the East High gang decided to hold summer-ender party, to end the rites of summer, and to begin the start of the most exciting school year a teenager could ever have: senior year.
The planning was held at the Montez household, fairly reasonable, since Gabriella was an organized girl, who held everything together. With Troy as her boyfriend, Sharpay as one of her closest friends (who owned Lava Springs), and with the Wildcats at her back, what could possibly go wrong with this party?
"Okay guys, I'd like to thank you all for coming to my house, to plan this party we'll be having. A few days from now, school's starting, so what better way to start the school year?" Getting into the school spirit, Gabriella thrust her arm forward, and yelled, "What team?!"

Sharpay watched in amusement at Gabriella's team leader spirit, she never once thought that she had it in her. She was sitting next to Ryan, trying her hardest to keep her hands on her lap. She shook her head as Gabriella led the Wildcats' cheer.
"Can we just get to the point?" She asked in a slightly impatient voice. Truth is, she was still quite uncomfortable at the thought of being a Wildcat, thus the cheer made her cringe a little. "Can we just start planning, please?" She shifted uncomfortably on her seat a little, as the thought about ruining the moment entered her mind. Oh boy, the Wildcats' are sure to feel more annoyed with her.

Gabriella was startled at Sharpay's outburst, even giving her a baffled look for a second, but shook it off immediately and faced the group again.
"Oh-kay..." She trailed off, sitting down on the chair, just right in front of her friends who were all huddled in one couch. There were so many of her friends that some were sitting on the arm rests, and the guys sitting on the floor.
"So anyway, I prepared this checklist to get everything started. Okay, so place-Lava Springs pool, check; food-by Fulton, check; drinks-non-alcohol by Lava Springs, check; how about the decorations?" Gabriella asked.

Chad had to resist rolling his eyes every time Sharpay opened her mouth. They were friends now... They were friends... Well, at least because Ryan was around. It was difficult not to shoot the boy a glare. But that wasn't fair; Ryan couldn't help who his sister was.
"You said non-alcoholic drinks, Gabriella. What about alcoholic drinks? Will they be making an appearance?" He grinned. Truthfully, he'd never had more than a sip of his mum's drinks, but they didn't need to know that. It was like his whole "yeah, I'm a ladies man but I've never even kissed a girl" thing. What they didn't know wouldn't hurt them.
"And how about red and gold? That'd be cool. Wildcat colours,"

Bebe wandered around Gabriella's house as everyone talked. Why was she there? She wasn't sure. Something to do with a party, and Bebe being mature. And non-alcoholic drinks. The conversation was a blur, partly because of what Jacob had told her over the phone: I can't live with your sister. I love you. Bebe pretended, therefore, that no one was there, talking about an end-of-year party. She was like... a shadow. No one paid attention to shadows. Even if they were going through the hostess's DVD collection and emitting muffled sobs every so often.

Ryan was at odds with everything that was happening at once, even the slightest of actions were tearing him from one side to another. Ryan twitched uncomfortably where he sat, looking around the room slowly. He gave share a knowing glance, she was still trying her hardest to blend with the Wildcats; he gave Chad a weak smile, he knew that his friend was trying for him, and he was grateful.
Everything that was occuring at once overwhelmed him, he ran his hand to the bridge of his nose and sighed a content sigh. They were Wildcats now, and that meant they weren't immune anymore to the crazyness that ensued."Wildcat colors," He grumbled back softly. "Good idea." He offered to Chad stupidly. He looked around slowly.
"Do we have anything on the playlist?" He asked trying to find his comfort zone. He looked around questionly, he was back in his element with music. He smiled at that softly, his mind wandered back to Chad's suggestion of alcohol, he wouldn't answer that one.

Gabriella smiled at the ideas. "Red and gold wouldn't be such a bad idea, and about alcoholic drinks, Chad, be my guest. Bring them if you will", she assured Chad.
"Music. Hmm... I totally forgot about the music! Good one, Ryan. Would you like to bring them?" She turned to Ryan, and she looked at everyone, after jotting the added details on her notebook.
"Okay, other suggestions? We might be missing something here."

Chad couldn't help it. After all, he was a boy. Not just a boy, but... No really, he was a boy. That's all there was to it. Admittedly, someone with class mayn't say it, like Ryan. But Chad had about as much class as... Chad didn't have class. At least he was funny and charming.
"A stripper?" He suggested, knowing he'd probably have things thrown at him, but still saying it anyway. It was impossible to stop his devilish grin widening as the words left his mouth.

Taylor sat at her seat, just right beside Gabriella, glancing at the rest of the Wildcats. It was supposed to be a happy occasion, planning for the party, but the atmosphere right now was suffocating enough to choke her. She didn't know how to respond to the situation.
"We girls can do the decorations, seeing that the boys will surely mess it up. We'll add some other colours, but the main colours will still be red and gold. Okay with that, everyone?" Taylor suggested, looking at the group. No matter how awkward is was, the planning still has to go on.
"Oh hey, we can have some games." Taylor offered, and shoot a death glare at Chad who suggested stripper. "Chad, that isn't funny."

Chad pulled a face at Taylor, still grinning. "I was only joking," He told her, "No need to get so aggressive!" He slumped back in his chair, crossing his ankles.
"I'll never get the female mind. Were they left without a 'funny' section in their brains or something? Hello, it's like, a joke!" He muttered under his breath. He partially wanted Taylor to hear it, but he wasn't really in the mood to make trouble anymore, strange as that may have sounded.
To be truthful, he just wanted to get out of the meeting and do something. Doing nothing was only cool when it came to school. The last few weeks of vacation should not be wasted on doing nothing!

Gabriella shot a fake-death glare at Chad-well, she wasn't good at those- and moved on.
"So, yeah, games. Prior to the alcohol drinking, we can have Spin the Bottle." She looked at everyone and added, "But-no making out, no stripping, none of those. We wouldn't want to get sent to the office by Fulton and have our salaries canceled just before classes start, now do we?" Realizing she was sounding like a party pooper, she spoke again, "Okay, fine, kissing is allowed, just NO groping or whatever."
"So, any more suggestions?" She offered, showing everyone the things written on her notebook.
Venue-Lava Springs pool Food-LS Drinks (non-alcoholic)-LS Decorations-Girls Music-Evans twins Drinks (alcoholic)-Chad and the guys
Games -Spin the Bottle
"So, what other games should we do?"

Sharpay thought of her many party ideas. She decided it was time she finally speak up in this group. She looked at Ryan, as if to say "you know what I'm going to say", and smiled at him before clearing her throat and catching Gabriella's attention, or at least she hoped to catch her, and not Chad's attention.
"How about...karaoke?" She suggested, with a finger on her chin, and a smile forming on the corner of her lips. "I know you'd like that, Gabriella." She looked knowingly at her friend, remembering the fact that Troy and Gabriella first met each other through karaoke, or at least that's what she had heard.

Gabriella was wide-eyed. She didn't know Sharpay knew about New Year's Eve! She gave a quick smile to her friend, mouthing 'thank you for reminding me' back at her, and faced her friends.
"Uh..ahem...yeah, karaoke would be...splendid", Gabriella said, clearing her throat and smiling at her boyfriend. "I'll add that on the list...any more ideas?"

Emma shifted uncomfortably on the arm rest of the couch. She got jipped out of a good spot on the couch, but she would deal with it. She always did. She smoothed her bangs out of her eyes, and looked around at all the other Wildcats in the room. The summer had been so crazy and now it was over. She had actually made other friends, and it was weird to think she had other people to hang around besides Sharpay, Ryan, Lea and Jackie.
She listened to the many suggestions being placed. She wanted to offer something to do, but she couldn't think of anything. She wanted to speak up and be noticed with a fabulous idea. If only that fabulous idea would come into her head.
"Well..." Emma piped up. "...we could always play 'Guess Who' and I'm not talking about that lame board game."
Emma rolled her eyes, and flipped her hair over her shoulder.
"Basically what it is, is that we choose a girl to go first. We blindfold her and have the guys line up and number them off. Then the girl picks a number from 1-how ever many boys there are. Whatever number she picks, that's the guy who has to kiss her. Then she takes the blindfold off, and she has to guess who kissed her. If she's right she goes again, if not then it's another girl's turn. We then change how the boys are lined up and continue. We can always make the boys kiss the girls too."
Emma raised an eyebrow, and smirked at everyone in the room.
"Sound interesting?"

Gabriella, thinking there were no other ideas to be shared, sat gloomily on her chair. Upon hearing Emma's voice, her ears perked up, and she lit up upon hearing Emma's awesome suggestion.
"That, Emma, is such a great idea! Sure to step the fun up a notch", she complimented Emma and quickly wrote on her notebook.
"Now that we've covered the basics, I guess it's alright to end this meeting and start the preparations. I mean, it's always fun to think of a game on the spot when they party's already started, right?" Gabriella told them. She looked at all of them one more time and added, "So, thank you all for coming here, and thanks for your wonderful suggestions. Hopefully this'll turn out great. We'll be the envy of other East High students." She giggled, and just like any other leader who'd end a meeting, "Meeting is adjourned."
