The Aftermath {open for all}

[Gabriella Montez]

Gabriella jumped a little, nearly falling from Ryan's chaise. Amidst the voice cracking, it didn't take a rocket scientist to decipher what Sharpay had just confessed. No wonder Sharpay was feeling so nervous! This was definitely not normal, but she had to be there for her friend.

Gabriella took continuous breaths, in and out multiple times. When she'd finally settle down, she took a deep breath again, and exhaled.

"For...Ry? Your...brother?"

[Sharpay Evans]

Sharpay took one look at Gabriella before standing up and turning her head away. "Yes, I'm a total freak, I know that already!" She exclaimed, waving her arms in the air, thinking that Gabriella is thinking the same.

She crossed her arms across her chest, as she suddenly started to feel her shoulders shaking. It wasn't until after a tear dropped on her arm that she realized she was crying already.

Gabriella stood up, rushed to Sharpay's side, and held her by her shoulders.

"No, no, no, Sharpay, it's not that, you know I love you, and I would do anything to help. You're not a freak, just...confused."

She engulfed Sharpay in a hug, and whispered, "What would you want me to do?"

Sharpay did not hesitate anymore, as she hugged Gabriella back. A true friend is what she really need at that moment. She sobbed uncontrollably on her shoulder.

"Just...just don't tell anyone..." she said in between sobs.

Gabriella held Sharpay tightly, not letting her go. As she was taken by Sharpay's emotion, her eyes started to form droplets of tears. She never thought she'd see Sharpay in another light, in another side. She had to be there for her.

"I won't tell, Sharpay. I won't. I promise."

[Sharpay Evans]

Sharpay nodded, as if telling Gabriella that she trusts her. She continued to cry on her shoulder until she finally had managed to calm down.

She pulled away from the hug and wiped the tears left on her face away. "Thanks, Gabriella. You don't know how much this means to me." She said sincerely, for the first time. She had never been sincere to Gabriella, until now.

Things definitely change. She thought, giving her new friend a weak smile.

"I'm here for you Sharpay, you know I am". Gabriella returned the weak smile.

The next day, she was on her last day of work, and they were having a pool party later, so she looked for Chad.

"Hey Chad, have you seen Ryan?"

[Kennah Grace]

Kennah had noticed something different with Sharpay. She wasn't her normal, competitive self. She was actually being nice to Kennah lately. kennah was a bit confused, but just went with it, hoping she could get a friendship out of the drama queen.

[Sharpay Evans]

Sharpay was walking along the golf course, alone, when she almost bumped into someone. "Oh I'm sorry," she quickly said. Sharpay had never said sorry to anyone before, well at least not sincerely.

She looked at the person and noticed that it was Kennah, her competitor for years.

[Kennah Grace]

Kennah stared at her, in shock that she had just apoligized! "Uh..i..it's okay." she said, trying to find her voice once more.

[Sharpay Evans]

"Um...oh...hey, Kennah." Sharpay greeted, noticing her friend's reaction. "What? Is something wrong with my face or my clothes?" She asked with an eyebrow arched. She was once again the Ice Princess as she looked down at her sparkling pink summer dress.

After finding nothing wrong with it, she looked at Kennah, still with her right eyebrow arched.

Kennah snapped out of her trance and shook her head. "Oh, no. Looks fine. Well...see ya." She pushed past Sharpay and hurried away, before she said something stupid. Sharpay was being nice, and Kennah liked it. She hated fighting with people, but sometimes you have to be mean to get what you want.

Sharpay's mouth dropped as Kennah pushed past her. No one talks to Sharpay like that! She screamed inside her head. She wanted to turn around and make her apologize, but she just decided against it.

I've got better things to do. She shrugged as she continued to walk along the golf course.

Kennah smiled to herself ad grabbed a golf ball and club. She hit the ball hard, sending it flying right past Sharpay's head.

[Gotta go, Shar. Dinner. Sorry!]

Sharpay screamed loud enough for the Lava Springs staff to gather around her, some carrying a fire extinguisher, some carrying a baseball bat, and some are getting ready to call the police. But she pushed past them and headed towards the one person she knew would do that to her.

"Kennah!" She exclaimed as she got near her. "What's your problem?!" Her fists curled into balls.
