"Of course I can, Sharpay!" Emma ran over to the lights and turned them off.
She always felt so honored when asked to do something by Sharpay. Emma walked back over to where Gabriella and Lea were, and grinned excitedly at them both.
"Mmm, those candles smell great Sharpay!"
Emma was definitely trying to score more points with Sharpay...yet again.

Sharpay smiled gratefully at Emma. "Thanks, Emma. And don't you recall? Most of these candles are from you." She said, grinning. After lighting the last candle up, she took her position on the side.
"Now you can lie down, Emma." she said, trying to contain her excitement at playing this game.

Emma smiled at Sharpay and was exstatic that she remembered that most of the candles were from her! She didn't want to remind Sharpay incase Sharpay didn't remember.
Emma laid down in the middle of the girls and the dimmly lit room. She straightened herself out, and tried to relax from the excitement. She closed her eyes, but held a slight grin on her face.
"Ready when you guys are."

Martha arrived in the Evans' suite after a long day. Before she left work, the Wildcats challenged her to a dance off, just out of pure fun. The outcome ended in a tie between one of the Wildcats and her. A tie breaker was scheduled for a later day.
As soon as she clocked out, she went home to pack for Sharpay's sleepover. To be honest, she was shocked that Sharpay had invited her. Well, not as shocked because all of the Wildcats had recently became friends with her. It was just that they had never spoken to each other and it was all new. Maybe tonight was the night that it all changed?
There she was, in the Evans' suite, in her pink and white pajamas. She had her hair up and was carrying her bag. Her bag was filled with all the basic necessities that she was going to need. She also brought something else with her, her DDR. Sure, she knew Sharpay had one because that girl could afford to have anything she wished. But still Martha, brought hers, she always had to bring it.
Martha stood at Sharpay's door, at least she thought it was hers. It was the only room that had music and talking that was barely audible. She brought her hand up to the door and knocked.

Sharpay got up again at the sound of a knock coming from the door. "Just a sec, girls. We have another guest coming!" She said excitedly.
She went towards the door and upon opening it, she smiled to see Martha Cox. "Hey Martha! Glad you came." She said, smiling. She had hoped this girl would come, she knew she can turn a simple party into an extraordinary one with her hip hop dance moves. Of course, she would never say that out loud.
She opened the door wider to let Martha in. "We were just about to play levitation, that's why the light's out and the candles are on." She explained.

Agh! Kelsi was late for Sharpay's sleepover! Her mom and dad had given her permission to go, but only after she cleaned her room. She'd had to go all the way home, then drive all the way back to Lava Springs. She'd already missed the best part of the sleepover, she was sure.
...What that best part was, she couldn't say, but she knew it was awesome. Her only consolation, as horrible as it sounded, was that Martha had arrived just before her. And at least she knew Martha was there. For all she knew, the sleepover was otherwise entirely populated by Sharpettes.
Oh well. She knocked on the door apprehensively.

Sharpay turned around again to answer the door and greeted Kelsi upon seeing her. "Come in Kelsi! We're just getting started." She said, opening the door wider for the composer.
"You both can just put your stuff down by the bed, that's where Emma, Gabriella, Lea had put theirs." She led Kelsi and Martha further inside the room.
"Oh and don't get freak out by the candles and the dark room, we're just about to play Levitation." She explained to Kelsi, giggling.

Emma, still laying down, popped her head up slightly and smiled at the two girls who just entered the party.
"Hi Martha! Hi Kelsi!"
She wasn't sure why Sharpay had invited them, especially since they had never been friends before, but any friend of Sharpay's was a friend of her's.
"I'm getting nervous! I hope this works!" Emma giggled. She readjusted her position slightly and closed her eyes again, squeezing them tight with pure excitment.

Sharpay quickly went back to her position earlier, and waited for Kelsi and Martha to take their respective positions as well.
"Ooh if this works, I think I'm gonna freak out...poor Ryan." She said, grinning as she thought about her brother waking up to her high-pitched screaming.

Martha entered Sharpay's room to see that Gabriella, Emma, and Lea were already there. She tried to look around the room, but failed due to the lights being off. The only source of light was coming from candles that were circled around the guests.
"Hey Sharpay! Thanks for the invite." Martha said to Sharpay. She didn't know what else to say, so she just left it as that.
Martha wondered what was going on, but then Sharpay explained about them playing levitation. She had never played this game, she only saw it in movies. "Sounds fun." she replied.
A little after Martha, Kelsi had came. Now, she wasn't going to feel out of place. Martha got her stuff and walked further inside, placing it by Sharpay's bed. After she was situated, Martha took a seat by the other girls. "Hey everyone." she said.

Sharpay shrugged. "I don't know actually. Taylor and Jackie aren't here yet, but we'll make sure they won't get too left out." She said, grinning.

"Yeah, yeah we can!"
Gabriella gushed, excited.
"So..we have to go around Emma, with the candles surrounding us. Then instead of our hands to lift her, we use only our fingers, that's the point of levitation", Gabriella explained. "Then everything has to be quiet, and we have to chant continuously, light as a feather, stiff as a board." The way Gabriella said it made it so freaky.
"So, let's get started!" Gabriella added, as if breaking the eerie tension that was forming among them.

Sharpay's eyes widened at the way Gabriella had said the chant. She suddenly felt scared. "Hey...nothing freaky will happen, right?" She asked in a hint of fear in her voice.
"Because...I don't wanna wake up Ryan who's just in the other room, and possibly the whole Lava Springs with my loud screaming!" She said, suddenly giggling again.
