Catching up {Gabriella, Taylor}

[Taylor McKessie]

Taylor giggled as Gabriella walked up the stair holding onto her imaginary skirt, deciding to play along with her. I am glad she's back to her cheerful self.

"I'll be right with you, Princess Gabriella." Taylor giggled again, coming to a decision that this game could just last as long until she stopped it. "So Princess Gabriella, are you ready to enter the most splendid royal bedroom in this castle?"

Gabriella giggled when Taylor played along. "Why yes, Lady Taylor, please follow me inside", Gabi said, as she opened the door and let Taylor enter.

Taylor chuckled as she followed Gabriella into the bedroom. She took a quick scan and said, "I see the bedroom is still as impressive as you are, Princess Gabriella." She giggled again then sat on the edge of bed.

"So..." Taylor started, "What are we supposed to do now?" A questioning look was on her face. Maybe I should ask her about Sharpay... or should I not?

"Anyway, I wanna hear about you and Chad", Gabriella gushed as she plopped on the bed beside Taylor. She smiled at her friend and bit her lip.

Taylor took a quick look at Gabriella before losing herself in her own thought. She has been so busy recently that she hadn’t any time for her friends except for work, much less meeting him. It wasn't that Taylor did not want to answer her best friend's question, but she could not.

"Not very good I guess... haven't seen him much around lately except occasionally bumping into him during work." Taylor gave Gabriella a bitter smile. She did see him during work time, but with Fulton around, she couldn't risk to talk too long with him.

"Oh....but you guys...are good, right?" Gabriella asked hopefully. She didn't want her best friend to feel the same way she did right now. Confused and all alone. She wanted her first real summer to be special, and it was, till lately. The drama had ended, Troy got back together with Gabriella again, but it still felt like they were still stuck in the time when Sharpay wanted to steal Troy away from Gabriella. She forced a smile and held Taylor's hand in hers.

Taylor gave a small smile as Gabriella held her hand in hers. "Don't worry Gabi, we're still good." She gave her friend another reassuring smile. "If there's really any problem, I'll be honest with you, all right?" Taylor chuckled. She was glad to have such a good friend like Gabriella, and even happier than she managed to find someone like Troy who would love her back the way she loves him.

"Okay, let's talk about something more cheerful, Gabi." Taylor commented, looking at Gabriella to see if she has any good suggestions or not.

Gabriella smiled at Taylor, as if telling her it was okay. "Okay then...who's your current favorite celeb hottie?" She asked excitedly. This was going to be a long session of gossip, and she wanted it to stay that way-for now.

Taylor struggled to keep her jaws closed as she looked at Gabriella with disbelief. "Gabi, are you okay? You sure you not having fever or something?" Taylor rambled off, putting her hand on Gabriella's forehead, shaking her head. "Did you know you actually asked me who's my current favorite celebrity hottie?" She then stared at Gabriella with a straight face, but soon giggles could be heard from her.

"I’m just joking, Gabi." She said and smiled, "Celebrity hottie? Let me see ... how about Lucas Grabeel? You know that blonde hottie?" Taylor answered, looking at Gabriella with a 'do-you-know-him?' expression.

(OOC: I was laughing away when I wrote this, Gab. This is so not Tay's style... lol.)

Gabriella giggled. "Oh my goodness! I LOVE Lucas Grabeel. I used to only love him, but lately I've been attracted to Zac Efron." She paused. "You know, I think he kinda looks like Troy, just that Troy's hotter." Gabriella giggled at her own statement. "But I love Lucas, still. Actually he's not even blond anymore, he's a cute brunet!" She looked at Taylor as if to say, you do agree with me, right? "And ohmigosh I have to say I like Josh Peck, you know, the nice brother on Drake and Josh? He's gotten really thinner. I know everyone goes for hottie Drake, I mean even Vanessa Hudgens kissed him, but Josh is just so adorable!" Gabi squealed, looking at her best friend, hoping Taylor wasn't shocked that Gabriella liked a lot of actors.

"Also Jesse Metcalfe! The teen gardener in Desperate Housewives and he was on John Tucker Must Die. And ohmigosh Channing Tatum. And Daniel Radcliffe, you gotta love Dan and his British accent and hottieness...and Shia LaBeouf!And Max Thieriot. I think that's all", she finished with a sigh.

"Wait, I think there's more!"

Taylor looked at Gabriella with a huge grin and kept nodding her head as her best friend rambled off like a shooting machine. She had a really hard time keeping herself from laughing too much, especially after seeing Gabriella's reactions upon mentioning the celebrity Lucas. Taylor was actually kind of surprised that Gabriella, being a brainiac who like math, in particular the pi, would have so many celebrities she liked. But well, it wasn't that difficult to guess though, since she does so herself.

"Zac Efron! The guy in Hairspray? Oh goodness, I think he looked a lot like Troy," Taylor chuckled, "But I do agree Troy’s hotter... for your sake." She hit Gabriella in the arm lightly. "Cute brunet? Oh yeah, he dyed his hair brown recently. Right?" Taylor shot Gabriella a sly wink, as if saying 'I do know about these stuff'.

As Gabriella continued with her list of almost never ending actors, Taylor kept laughing at her, and even harder when her friend said the last sentence. "There’s more, Gabi?" Taylor looked at Gabriella with a fake shocking expression.

Gabriella smiled as if to say, you underestimate me. "Well, who can ever forget the ever sensational Brad Pitt? But lately he's gone too pretty for me, so I'd say Johnny Depp or maybe James Franco." She paused for a giggle. "I know it does seem kinda strange coming from me, the freaky math girl, but hey, I'm a teenager too! And a girl!" She squealed, returning the light arm hit done by Taylor just a minute ago.

"Okay, so how about singers? Who do you love the most, and who are hotties too?" She asked with a smile on her face, obviously enjoying the conversation.

Taylor laughed lightly when Gabriella returned her the arm hit she did to her moment ago. She let her eyes scan around the room briefly, before landing back on her friend. "Singers! I think Justin Timberlake has a nice voice, he sings pretty well too." Taylor squealed, mimicking what Gabriella had did. She then chuckled and continued, "But I like Jesse McCartney. He's such a hottie, don't you think so?"

She smirked, giving Gabriella a wink. "How about you? Don't tell me the singer you love most is ..." Taylor paused and gave a funny look. "Troy!" She exclaimed with much superfluous actions and laughed again.

Gabriella gave Taylor a fake-surprised look and exclaimed, "Troy Bolton? OMG, he is!!! Have you seen his abs, they're so fine!!!", she squealed like a fangirl, acting as if Troy wasn't her boyfriend.

"And I SO have to agree, Jesse McCartney is cute", Gabriella added, modulating her voice to her normal tone after squealing so much earlier. "Don't you just love Adam Levine of Maroon 5? His eyes are just so...arresting. And that voice, wow! And I gotta love Chris Daughtry and Elliot Yamin."

Taylor looked at Gabriella with a bizarre smile as she squealed like what a typical fangirl will do upon mentioning their idol. "Montez, that was so unlike you." Taylor remarked, giving Gabriella a shifty eye look. "Okay, I was just kidding." Taylor exclaimed and laughed, "But please, keep Troy to yourself, and I wouldn't appreciate even if I've seen his ads." She added, giving her friend a slight smirk.

"Wow... I see you have an extensive list of favorite celebrities." Taylor smiled, once again mocking at Gabriella without harmful intention. "School's starting soon, how I wish summer's longer, even though it means more work for me." She grumbled, the thought of returning to school suddenly didn't seemed appealing to her anymore. Especially since it's their final year.
