Just Like Old Times {Troy and Gabriella}

Finally, the first day back at East High has arrived! Gabriella practically danced as she went up the first steps of her high school with much excitement. This was the first school that she'd stayed for two school years. This year was a new step for her, just like how'd summer become extra special for her.

And what wouldn't make their senior year spicier, with Troy Bolton around? She anticipated the things they were going to do together; hang out at his secret spot, flirt while playing basketball, walk together to class, and teaching him Physics while he teaches her to climb a rope during gym.

She was standing by her locker, just how they'd meet, she was sure they need not talk about it the day before, this is how they always met anyway. Just like old times.

Troy, as usual, was excited to be with Gabriella. The first day back brought so many memories. As when they meet at the ski resort, got detention with Ms. Darbus because of him, and the winter musical. He was so happy and glad to be back and spend also even more time with her. He found her at her locker, one hand tied behind his back. "Madame Moselle." From behind him he pulled out flowers he had just bought that morning for her. "Thought you'd might like them." He was sure she'd open her locker and find a vase already in there.

Gabriella was in awe. Troy had flowers for her! On the first day! She smiled ever so sweetly at him, craned her neck around to check if any teachers were around, and crept up and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you, Monsieur. That really made my first day extra special", she giggled. "But where to put these beautiful flowers?" She turned back to open her locker, and was in shock that there was a vase, just standing in the middle. She put the bouquet in the vase, closed the locker, looked back at Troy, with her mouth open from shock, and hugged him. "Wow, how did you- wait, you opened my locker without telling me?" She broke off from the embrace, saying the last part in pretend anger.

Troy's smile went blank. He was in trouble now. "I uh... thought you wouldn't mind." He scratched his head and then looked back at Gabriella. "I'm sorry I just wanted you to like it. Otherwise I could give them to Sharpay?" He was being sarcastic to Gabriella.

[Gabriella Montez]

Gabriella feigned hurt, and as added effect, gasped and put her hand over her chest. "Troy Bolton, I am shocked. Give these wonderful flowers to Sharpay? Not that there's anything wrong, but still..." She trailed off, interlaced her hand with his, and gave him a kiss on the lips. "You know I wouldn't mind." She giggled, and looked at Troy. She was sure no other teacher saw them showing affection in public. And not that they minded, anyway.

Troy smiled and kissed her again on the lips. Many affection was flowing through his heart. "I know. That's why your my princess of butterflys." He grabbed her hand and stared into her beautiful eyes. "How did I get such a girl as wonderful as you?"

[Gabriella Montez]

Gabriella looked into his eyes as well, and replied, "All you had to do was sing karaoke on New Years' Eve." She giggled, and added, "Princess of butterflies? Why, do I give you butterflies in your stomach Wildcat?" Gabriella hit him on the arm playfully. "Because if you do, don't worry, you do the same to me too."

Troy smiled, staring at her. "Well there's no cure except when you're far away from me but that will never happen as long as you keep me close to your heart." He looked around making sure that no teachers or anyone was looking at them. He looked back at her and kissed her on the cheek.

Troy signaled to Gabriella to walk with him down the halls holding her hand. "So Madame Moselle, did you love your evening last night?" He hoped that night made a special night to Gabriella.

Gabriella smiled and bit her lip at the thought of last night's memory. Oh, how she could not sleep after that, it was naturally, the most perfect way to have ended the summer.

"Monsieur, the evening was amazing. It could not have been any better. That was by far, the best evening of my life, thank you. Thank you for everything. I loved how we ended the summer that way." She smiled, and kissed him one more time on the cheek.

"How about you? Did you enjoy the evening too?"

Troy put his arms around Gabriella's back. "Of course I did. It was with the most amazing girl ever." He hugged Gabriella tightly. "Hey how about you come to my party next weekend? It'll be fun." His eyes were looking around to be sure no teachers were around. He grabbed Gabriella's hand and began walking down the halls with her.

Gabriella smiled as she interlaced her fingers with Troy's as they glided down the hallway. "Why I'd love to come. And I don't need for you to say that the party would be fun because it will. You're the one hosting it", she replied, smiling and turning to Troy.

Troy's face went bright red. "C'mon Gabriella. You know I'm emotional." He said sarcastically. "The real fun part will be you." He stopped and looked at Gabriella. "Hey Gabriella, do you think your mom could possibly make her special brownies for you to bring. That would be so great if you could ask her."
