He didn't know what he was going to be getting himself into. Everything had changed, he hoped nothing bad would happen, yet he didn't expect things to be as complicated as they were. He kept an eye on the whole gym, last thing he needed was some kind of a surprise, one like the kind at his last school.
Moving around as much as he had, he hadn't had much experiance being in one place for very long, after his eighth grade year, his dad had pulled him out of school and had forced his mother to homeschool him so that he could take care of his mom too, because she got sick so regularily, that somebody had to be with her, so he'd been the one to do it. Whenever his dad had enough of one place, they would move. They had moved so often that it wasn't even funny, he couldn't even get settled in to one school before having to move again.
Walking into the gym at East High, he hadn't anticipated anything, but figured maybe people would be in here, after all it was a common place for those who enjoyed sports to be. Still, anything was possible at the moment. He knew that, more than anything else. He just prayed for a miracle.
"Where is everybody?" He thought as he kept an eye out. He didn't want to be surprised, that waas something he really didn't need. Being new to the school, he was fairly cautious. He was very smart and practical, he was good at alot of different things, but he never really was one to brag about it. He heard a noise, and would have jumped but he was able to compose himself before actually doing something stupid. He just hoped that he wouldn't encounter someone who would try to make an enemy out of him. What was he getting himself into?

Zeke took of his pants and changed him into his shorts. He then took of his shirt and threw it into his locker along with his pants. He then locked his locker and grabbed his basketball. He smiled and ran out into the gym. He then dribbled a little and shot it. It rolled around the rim and then into the net.
He then went over to get the ball until his eyes met a new guy. "Who are you?" he asked coming off a little mean. He didn't mean to but he did. He then shrugged and walked over to the guy and put out his hand. "I am Zeke." he nodded and looked at the guy.
"You look familiar... do, do I know you?" he asked a little confused.

As a guy around his age approached him, naturally he was a bit worried, but then he realized that maybe things would be different this time. Being a new kid in a new school seemed to really suck, at least at the time it seemed to but things were changing, he was making friends, he just hoped he wasn't going to make a fool out of himself. He was a friendly kind of guy, and the only subject he wouldn't talk about was his own family. He didn't really want to get into a conversation about it.
He sighed a little bit, well this was the first time in a new area, but he liked it. He smirked a little bit at how mean Zeke seemed to be, but by the fact of how Troy talked about him, he knew that Zeke wasn't necessarily the one to be worried about, that he was usually quite nice. "Hey Zeke. I'm Jake, I don't know if we've met before. I just moved here not long ago. Troy told me about you, he said you're the one who does all the baking. Like Creme Brulee." He smiled a bit as he looked at Zeke and extended his hand to shake Zeke's.
"You must be one of the Wildcat basketball players am I right?" He asked Zeke, of course, he was pretty sure he was right, but he wasn't about to be rude to him. He wasn't really one to be mean to anybody unless he had no choice. He was a good guy, to be sure, smart and pretty good at different things, including taking care of other people, he had to be considering before his mom died, he'd taken care of her because his father refused to. His dad was...anything but normal, a bit rude actually. Then again, nothing his dad did surprised him.

Lex walked into the gym. She had wanted to be alone and the gym was always pretty much deserted. Lexy opened the doors to the gym and walked in. She saw Zeke talking to a boy that she didn't know. Then again, she didn't know everybody at East High yet. LExy walked over to the boys. Hey Zeke, um, and you are? Sorry, I'm still getting to know everybody here so please don't be offended if I don't know you." Lexy said apologetically. She then smiled up at the boy. Man was he cute. She smiled up at him and looked into his eyes. Lexy realized what she was doing and suddenly looked away. "Idiot" Lexy told herself quietly going to sit on the bleachers.

"I'm Jake, and you are? It's okay, you don't have to apologize, there's no need for that. I'm just getting to know everybody myself, so I can understand that. I'm new here as well, I haven't been here for very long myself." He said, keeping an eye on the situation. He was able to tell that she was looking at him. He smiled back at her, making sure that she wasn't embarassed or anything like that. He was usually very easy going, and handled things quite well. He just hoped that nothing bad would happen today. Everything happened for a reason, if he remembered right, his mom told him that.
He looked over at Zeke, expecting that he would say something of course he hadn't intended on having other people show up, of course he didn't know if this was around the time that the basketball players were here. He never even asked Troy about that yet. He hadn't really had much time for that lately. He hadn't really had time for anything, other than just working his way around the school getting ready to handle all this. What would happen now? What if he found himself into trouble?
He wanted to say something else, but he suddenly found himself forgetting what he was going to say. Of course, Troy had mentioned that tryouts were soon and he was going to try at least to sign up for that. After all it sounded like fun and he'd get to know the whole team, which to him, gave him a chance to make friends, he had hoped so at least. He didn't need any more enemies than what he already had.

Zeke laughed at the word baking. "Yeah, I am the baker." he shrugged. He then looked at Lexy. He rolled his eyes at her. He didn't like her because she was annoying and everything. Also a trouble maker. He didn't want her to be there!!!!
He then faced Jake and smiled. He then leaned in to tell Jake a secret. "She is crazy, and annoying. To me at least." he said laughing. He then looked at Lexy and then turned away. "So, do you play basketball?" he said pressing the ball against his cold, bare skin.
"Hey, I am having all the boys come over for a crash at my place. It is on Friday. You wanna come?" he asked with a smile. He then shot the basketball into the net making a swoosh sound. He then took a deep breath and looked at Jake.
"You like anyone?" he asked out of the blue. He was sort of in a blank that day. He didn't really know what to say. He rolled his eyes at himself and then looked around. The gym was small, and they needed a bigger one. Oh well, it wasn't his problem.

He wasn't the type of guy to make fun of anyone, even if as Zeke had said crazy or annoying. He wasn't just that type of person. He smiled though when Zeke mentioned that and then turned to look at him as he spoke. "I knew it." He said when Zeke said he was the baker. "Yeah I do play basketball though it has been a while since I played on the school team. I never got the chance to try at my last school, we left it before I had the chance, and then we came here...so yeah. Sure, I'd love to come to your house."
He smiled a little bit, he didn't want to ignore the girl there, that would be rude. It just wasn't who he was. "I wonder why Zeke said the girl was crazy and annoying..." He thought, but kept that thought to himself as he looked at the two. He was relieved to say the least that things were looking up. He was making friends and that had been what was important to him. More so than anything else, after all his grades had never been a problem.
"So, other than basketball, what is it that you do around here Zeke?" He asked him, not really sure what else to say, but at least things seemed to have calmed down here at least. He hadn't been getting himself into trouble that was for sure. He didn't want anything bad to happen, but yet, bad things sometimes happened around him. He used to think he was cursed. "Not really I haven't really been here long enough to actually like somebody in the way that you mean."

Post by Martha Cox on Dec 7, 2007 20:49:29 GMT -5
Martha had been looking for Taylor or Gabriella to discuss something about decathlon. She first searched in the Chemistry lab, but was unsuccessful. After looking in different places and still no sign of the two, she decided to try the one place where she hadn‘t look and where Gabriella might be. The Gym. Anywhere Troy was, Gabriella was usually found. Since the Gym played home to Troy, she was most likely there. It was only a long shot, but she figured Taylor may be there as well. Martha didn‘t think so, but it was worth the try.
As she walked closer to the Gym, Martha heard several voices, but she was to far to make them out. After a several steps, she entered the Gym to find Zeke, Lexy, and that new guy that had joined the decathlon team. A good looking guy, in fact. Martha had completely forgotten why she was in the Gym in the first place. She was too mesmerize by the new guy’s blond hair and blue eyes.
There was another guy who caught Martha’s attention. That guy happened to be another blue eyed, blond hair cutie-Ryan Evans. To be honest, Martha had a crush on Ryan. Ever since she got to know him over the summer, the crush became more. It was just a crush, Martha didn’t think they would be hooking up anytime soon or anything like that.
Coming back from her own little world, Martha decided to ask Zeke if he had seen Gabriella or Taylor. She walked in and greeted her fellow Wildcat friend. “Hey Zeke.” She turned to Lexy and gave her a smile, then did the same thing to the new guy. Yes, it was rude of her to not introduce herself, but she couldn’t compose a sentence. “Um..” She began, making progress she hoped that she could say something that wasn’t stupid. “Zeke, have you seen Gabriella or Taylor?” Well, she had produced a sentence, but it wasn’t the one she had intended to say.

Zeke shrugged at the comment about what else there was. " I don't know." he said nonchalantly. He then shot the ball and it bounced off the rim. He took the ball and threw it across the gym. He was bored of basketball when it wasn't with more people.
He then saw Martha come down into the gym from his corner eye. "Hey Martha!" he said with a smile. "Tay or Gabi? I have no idea! Though if you want to stay here and hang with us, you are welcomed." he said with a smile. "Oh yeah, this is Jake Faowlery. Jake this is Martha Cox. She is awesome." he said with a smile.
Zeke then got out his cell phone and played with it a little. He then got it out and dialed Emma's number. "Hey babe! Come down to the gym I want you to met someone." he said with a smile. He then hung up and played with his cell phone some more.
By the end he stopped playing with the cell phone he had a new background ((Emma, May and Zeke)) a new ring tone ((Everytime We Touch)) and a few new songs and games. He smiled and then went back to the real world.

Lexy frowned at Zeke.
"um, just so you know, I wear a hearing aid. And yes, I'm crazy and annoying. But, I'm not a trouble maker." Lexy saw Martha walk in. " Oh, hey Martha" She then went back to Zeke. "And for your information, I was trying to help out Emma, not get her in trouble. I'm too much of a goody goody for that. I wouldn't know how to act in a real school because I was home schooled so excuse me if I act a little different. And I also have epilepsy so that's why I'm crazy you tall person." Lexy then walked up the bleachers and sat in the far corner. She was trying hard not to cry but tears came anyways. She wiped them angrily and hoped that nobody was watching.

Zeke turned to Lexy hearing her voice. She wanted to bring it? Okay it is brung! "Okay, you want to start something? Okay just letting you know... you started it." he said before she started. He then cleared his voice, so it wouldn't give out before he started the 'burns'.
"Hearing Aid? Well that adds another list to your craziness. Epilepsy? Remind me to add that to the list also." he said with a smile. He then went back to the burns as soon as one came to mind. "Or also for your information...maybe Emma didn't want you to help. Maybe she wanted to get in trouble. Also if you had you hearing add turned on maybe you would have heard her say 'buzz off'." he said cocking his head to the side after the burns.
He then thought of a few more after a minute of his brain going dead. "Oh Home schooled, explains why you are so dumb." he said with a smile. "Oh yeah, you might want to comb that tangled mess you call hair. Also have you heard of contacts? By the way, small person, burn someone your own size. Most likely they won't be able to think of a come back because they will be in preschool. Preschool you’re wondering? Well, the only kind that are tall as you are preschoolers." he said with a smile before turning to the locker room and changing into his T-Shirt.

Lexy walked off of the bleachers. She was angry now. She was trying to be nice earlier but if Zeke wanted to bring it then it was on. Lexy walked up to Zeke. She had a angry look on her face and she felt hatred that she had never felt before in her life. There was no way she was going to let some dumb old kid make fun of a 19 year old Junior.
"Oh, one more thing. You got blood coming out of your nose." With that, Lexy punched Zeke really hard in the nose. She didn't even see if he was bleeding or not. While she walked away, she said:
"I may be a small person, but I am a lot tougher than you think. See what you made me do? I would have never done that if you'd have just been nice in the first place Mr. Baylor. I will not be pushed around for no reason and FYI, I have a photographic memory. So I am not dumb!" Lexy then ran to the bleachers to the top hoping that Zeke wouldn't run after her.

Post by Emma the Loyal Sharpette on Dec 9, 2007 22:39:35 GMT -5
Emma quickly hung up her phone, and darted to the gym after Zeke called her. She wanted to meet the new person Zeke told her about. She ran to the tall gym doors, and looked down at her outfit, a flowing short black skirt, a tight bright pink haulter, and a small tight black sweater. Her ran her fingers through her straightened blonde hair, and flung open one of the gym doors. She strutted her stuff over to Zeke. Her black heels clacked loudly in the gym, as she swayed her hips as she walked towards Zeke, and the others.
Emma suddenly stopped in her tracks when she noticed that Lexy girl from homeroom was yelling at Zeke. Then, right before Emma's eyes she saw Lexy punch Zeke in the nose. Her eyes widdened, and range filled through her body. No one lays a hand on Zeke in anger, especially not some snot-nosed little junior. Emma threw down her purse, her binder, and quickly slipped off her heels. She darted off after Lexy up the bleachers. Emma knew Zeke would never hit a girl, even if she hit him, so she knew it was payback time.
"LEXY PETERSON! HELL NO DO YOU HIT MY BOYFRIEND!" Emma yelled as she reached the top of the bleachers where Lexy was. She quickly grabbed Lexy by the arm and pulled her towards her. "You need to RESPECT people!" Emma grabbed her by the scruff of her shirt. "YOU DO NOT HIT MY BOYFRIEND EVER AGAIN!" Emma screamed in her face. She got close to Lexy's face, almost nose to nose. "If I ever see you lay a hand on Zeke or any of my friends in anger, you will be suspended from this school before you can even say 'Trouble Maker.'" Emma sneered nastily at Lexy. She knew better than to hit Lexy like she did with Zeke. Violence would only lower her to that pathedic level that Lexy reached. Emma let go of Lexy, and quickly bounded back down the stairs to her stuff. She slipped on her heels, and grabbed her purse and binder. She sashayed over to Zeke, and kissed him on the cheek.
"You okay baby?" Emma asked sweetly, not seeing any blood on Zeke's nose. It was just a little red from the light punch from Lexy.

He had watched the whole scene and obviously he was not one to judge anybody but he wasn't in the mood for this crap either. He saw Emma appear and naturally, there was trouble going to happen. "Hello Martha." He had said to her before all hell had broken loose. What in the hell was going on in this school? He had a flashback to his old school, which wasn't all that pretty to think about either.
He didn't want to annoy anyone. He remembered everything from his old school and last time that he was around, where punches had been thrown he and a few others had landed in the hospital, even though he hadn't even done anything, he had just been an innocent bystander. It wasn't right to make fun of anyone who had epilepsy, especially because it couldn't be controlled all the time, it was like going after someone with a ticking time bomb around them. It wasn't right for anyone to make fun of any disease that a person had, after all he'd seen the damage that disease could do, even if it was only minor, it didn't make any difference, nobody deserved to be treated like second class. He was about ready to give up trying to make friends here, especially since obviously he didn't want to fight with anybody there. He didn't like what had just hppened either.
"Zeke, just let it go...it's not worth it to get suspended over something like this. Besides the team needs you, I don't think the coach will be very happy if one of his players is suspended for fighting, least of all in a situation like this." He said hoping to calm Zeke down, even though yes, he knew that Zeke had started it, but what could he really do anyway? It wasn't like people would really listen to him anyway, they never had.

Zeke rolled his eyes and at Lexy. She was so stupid. He then felt Lexy softly hit Zeke on his nose. He rubbed it and watched Lexy run away. He was so ticked off at her, he was just about to grab her and kill her until he saw Emma come in. "Hey ba-" he said until Emma started to go crazy.
A smile struck upon his face as Emma ran after Lexy. That was love, he could easily tell. He was just about to go over to the office and report it until he heard Emma handle it all without a single punch thrown. He smiled and waited for Emma to come down so he could kiss her.
He then felt Emma kiss his cheek softly. He smiled and faced her. "Yeah I am okay babe." he said kissing her softly. He then looked at Lexy and rolled his eyes. "She is a junior?? Though 19?? Held back much?" he rolled his eyes. "19 though VERY immature." he said grabbing Emma's hand. He kissed her and then looked at Jake.
"Don't worry I won't scoop to that level." he said giving a glare to Lexy.
