Detention{Ms. Darbus and All Detention Students}

Bebe felt her bones crush as Emma gave her a gigantic hug. Emma's mouth was running a million miles a minute, and Bebe could barely keep up. First there was not having seen Bebe in forever - that was true, in a way - then her, then Chad, then kissing... Bebe's head reeled before she put her hands on Emma's shoulders.

"Miss Emma... if you help me pick up all these god-forsaken papers, I'll tell you everything," Bebe promised. Not waiting for an answer, Bebe ducked to the floor, coallatting (sp?) piles of work. "So, how am I? Pretty good. Actually... I don't know. I feel so distant from everyone. I mean, I have Chad, but... it's like I lost everyone else. Zeke doesn't talk to me anymore and I hadn't seen you in a while..."

Bebe frowned, pouting slightly. "It's so weird. Getting the boy doesn't guarantee happiness, does it, Miss Emma?" She suddenly shook her head. "What am I talking about? Last I knew, you didn't like anyone..."

Lexy looked at Alex with admiration.
"Thanks, but I don't think I should. NOt with my "cough Epilepsy problem" she coughed so Alex wouldn't hear her. Lexy then looked at Alex nervously and smiled nervously at her. She really wanted to have a part in the play but then everybody might find out about her epilepsy problem.
"You can't hate me, I am a lovable person Ms. Alex Archer" Lexy joked. She then saw Bebe entered and was said something under her breath when she saw Bebe fall on her back.
"Deja Vu" Then Lexy looked back to Alex and waited for her to respond.

Emma smiled as she helped Bebe pick up the papers. She listened and nodded as Bebe continued on about losing touch with her. "Yeah, sorry about that Bebe. I know we've both been so busy with school and everything. But I knew we'd reconnect again. Just who would have known it would be in detention!" Emma laughed, as she handed Bebe the papers she collected.

Emma shook her head. "Nope, getting the guy doesn't always mean happiness. Sometimes it makes you lose friends quicker." She said sadly, remembering so many times how her friendships have fluctuated because of boys. Emma suddenly blushed as Bebe was obviously making a reference to her and Zeke. "Um, yeah. Sometimes crushes and relationships just appear when you least expect it." Emma looked down and smiled to herself thinking about Zeke.

"So..." Emma began. "Is he a good kisser?" Emma just couldn't stay away from that question. Really, ever since she was denied asking she just wanted to know more because Sharpay made her stop from asking. She smiled excitedly at Bebe, and practically bounced up and down.

"Are you kidding?" Bebe afforded herself the luxury of a giggle, an airy confection of cuteness and bubbly affection. "Of COURSE! Chad's amazing... and he always kisses me at the most random times, like after playing basketball..." Bebe recalled the sweetness of it all, sighing.

Bebe continued to take papers into her arms. "What's with the detention party? Who are all these people, anyway?"

She didn't really know any of them, besides the samurai-like girl she'd berated earlier that week. Bebe shrugged.

"Wanna grab lunch tomorrow, Miss Emma?" Bebe inquired. "We can catch up a lot more..." Bebe's voice dropped at least two octaves. "There are things I don't want people I don't know to hear."

Alex thought about what to say, "I'm sorry." was all she could say "I didn't know."
"If it makes you feel any better I...I'm not as rosey as I appear either, you probably can't tell from my obvious way with people and ability to get on well." she stopped and laughed "But..."
am I ready to tell her? "I'm adopted, ot as bad as...your problem." she said carefully, she didn't want to blurt it out in case Lexy was uncomfortable about it, "I grant you but there you go we have to be best friends now because that is something I want no-one else to know." She sat back in her seat.
"I wil tell you one thing though, and this is no secret, it's a real loss to the stage to not have you on it." she smiled

Lexy looked at Alex as she told her her secret. Alex then told Lexy something that she did not expect.

"I'm adopted" Alex told Lexy.

Lexy looked back at Alex with concern. Then she smiled at her.

"I'll tell you what, I won't tell your secret if you don't tell mine, unless it was to happen to me and you needed to get help. Deal?" Lexy held out her hand to Alex with concern on her face again. Was the deal going to work? Lexy was a blabbermouth, but she won't tell nobody unless Alex told her to.

"I guess we do have to be best friends now" Lexy smiled at Alex.
"You ok with that?" She asked uncertainly blushing.

"Yeah thats fine with me, more then fine, trust me I'm going to need al the friends I can get with my luck." she smiled and shook Lexy's hand, "and don't worry your secrets safe with me unless it is a life or death situation."
As the blush crept to Lexy's cheeks Alex laughed: "We'll have to be called the blush susters or something because I blush the drop of a hat so be prepared for a lot of lobster girl." she smiled

Lexy smiled at Alex. She had a lot more common with this girl than she thought. She shook Alex's hand.

"Yes, we are the blushing sisters. Oh, I need all the friends I can get too. " She then blushed even redder. There was a lot of things about East High that Lexy loved. Not counting detention of course. She smiled up at Alex and waited for a reply.

"Sure you do." said Alex rolling her eyes, "exactly how many people have given you dirty looks today?" she asked "I've had at least one from every person so I think you're safe trust me you're going to have plenty of friends." she said

Lexy smiled at Alex's reply.

"Well, I got one from Zeke and Emma, so that would be 2 unless you count yourself from earlier." Lexy said knowingly.

"I guess I am safe, but you should be too." Lexy said wanting to make Alex feel better about herself. She looked around the room. Lexy suddenly got an idea. She got up pulled on Alex's arm and lead her to the stage. She then got out two microphones and handed one to Alex.

"Wanna do a duet? " Lexy asked curiously.
"You pick a song and I'll follow.: Lexy said excitedly waiting for Alex's reply.

Emma giggled as Bebe talked about her and Chad and their exciting lives of kissing after basketball. She sighed at the romantic timing of it all, along with Bebe. She looked longingly off into the distanced and suddenly wished Zeke was with her in detention. She was brought back to reality by Bebe's question. Emma looked around at the few students here.

"I have no idea. I just know they got me detention with Darbus." Emma rolled her eyes, and looked at Bebe. "I would love to get some lunch. I think we both have some talking and catching up to do, without little ears around to eavesdrop on us." Emma looked over at the girls sitting and chatting. She definitely didn't want to talk about her relationship with Zeke in front of them.

"I can't wait to hear everything." Emma giggled, and knudged Bebe slightly. She absolutely loved hearing about everyone's relationships, and she knew that Bebe's and Chad's was definitely something worthwhile to hear about!

Alex stood gobsmacked what if the teacher came in? oh who cares she can only put me in detention again!
Sure she said and thought of a song, she didn't know many duets, not for 2 girls at least

Lizzie sighed and flicked aimlessly at the loose strands of wool on her sweater. She hadn’t said anything to anyone – not even herself – in the last ten minutes, and really, that ought to be some personal record. Detention was turning out awfully dull.

Everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves at the very least, but they were being so quiet and small groupish and how much fun could a person honestly have like that? There was basketball star, recently ditched, and Sharpette 1 talked to pink hair kid and those two other girls who were…

“What the fudge monkey,” she murmured out loud, followed by a quick personal rebuke for cursing – or fake cursing but Daddy always said that was equally bad. But they were… singing? She walked up closer to the stage to get a better look, and no doubt they were because the England girl began something in some foreign language.

“Oh my gosh,” she said to anyone in her vicinity. “Hispanic is like the coolest language ever!” She followed with a wide grin and thumbs up at the duo.

Alex smiled as she got a thumbs up from another girl, that was a good sign that people were starting to like her, pathetic to get excited about she knew but she was happy. She waited for Lexy to pick up the nest line of the song, she liked the song but didn't want to continue and leave Lexy feeling left out, she smiled at her friend and waited to see if she knew the song or not.

Bebe managed to overhear what the Swedish-looking blonde said in response to the Samurai Jack girl singing Spanish. "Hispanic is like, the coolest language ever!"

This only cemented Bebe's desire to not talk about her hot love life with Chad around the group.

"Yeah... how long until Darbus gets here? I'm supposed to meet with her about the musical," Bebe explained. "I can't wait! Miss Emma, you're going to try out, right? Because, honestly, you're really talented." Bebe gasped. "OH my GOD I just got a brilliant -!" She cut off. "...Never mind."

Bebe shrugged. "I don't think Chad will ever be into the 'musical' thing. I doubt that he'd go out for it with me. Although... it would be... interesting..." Bebe snickered, a wicked smile on her face. She turned to Emma and continued to pick up papers. "So, lunch tomorrow?"
