Removing Paint (Emma and Bebe)

[Emma the Loyal Sharpette]

Emma smiled at Bebe. "Sounds like fun! I'll be there!"

She was a little disappointed Bebe didn't want to talk to her about her love interest, but she could understand where Bebe was coming from. "It's cool, Bebe. But I'm here if you ever do want to tell someone about it. It can be fun discussing it with your friends and getting all gigglie and excited over your crush." Emma grinned.

She then stood up, and grabbed her costume. It smelled horridly of paint remover, but Emma thought she probably had time to wash it real fast before heading back to the stage.

"Do you know if there is a washer or something I can at least rinse this out in around here?"

[Bebe Tenko]

"There should be one in the fourth floor hallway," Bebe explained before giving Emma a huge smile, one she usually reserved for her father. "You know, I've seriously misjudged you... I thought you were a braindead moppet."

[Emma the Loyal Sharpette]

Emma laughed heartily. "Thanks Bebe. I misjudged you too. Glad we had this time to just get to know each other."

Emma was about to take off, when she looked back at Bebe.

"Do you think you can help me wash this? I um...don't have too much experience with washing things." Emma said fully embarrassed by her lack of domestic skills.

[Bebe Tenko]

"I'm not sure how much help I can be to you," Bebe admitted, "because I really don't like using the coin-operated things. But I'll try, sure. Are you sure Sharpay won't flip at you?"

[Emma the Loyal Sharpette]

Emma smiled at Bebe. "I'm sure if we put our minds together, we can probably figure it out."

Emma stopped to think about Sharpay and the rehearsal.

"I doubt Sharpay will even notice I'm gone. She's been really preoccupied lately. And even if she does notice, I'll just say I had a wardrobe malfunction." Emma winked at Bebe.

[Bebe Tenko]

"Janet Jackson would kill to have this kind of wardrobe malfunction," Bebe snickered as she led Emma up to the coin-op washing machine. She was suprised at how closely Emma followed her, but she shook off the feeling. It was probably a bad habit of hers.
"So, Emma... what music do you listen to?"

[Emma the Loyal Sharpette]

Emma laughed as followed Bebe closely. She was so used to running after Sharpay and following her so much, that she naturally followed closely behind anyone that was leading her somewhere. She realized what she was doing and took a step back from Bebe, hoping she hadn't noticed this habit of her's.

"I listen to mainly pop music. I love the upbeat kind of feeling it gives you. I love to just dance to it. And of course being a performer myself, I love broadway musicals." Emma stated, as she pushed some coins into the washing machine.

"How about yourself?" She asked Bebe, as she dropped her costume in.

[Bebe Tenko]

"I love alternative," Bebe admitted as she stuck a quarter into the coin-op's slot. "Gorillaz is my favorite band... they can say whatever they want, and no one cares because they're cartoons... but I love a lot of other weird things like Amy Winehouse and Radiohead and She Wants Revenge..."

[Emma the Loyal Sharpette]

Emma nodded. "Oh that's cool. There is definitely some alternative music I like. Amy Winehouse...love her."

Emma then looked at the machine. They put the quarters in, and she put her costume in. She looked at Bebe, very confused.

"Now what? Isn't there supposed to be water or something in there?" Emma said, pointing to the machine.

[Bebe Tenko]

"Soap goes in first." Bebe rummaged through a cabinet above her head. "Then you press the blue button. Don't press it yet please; I need to find the freaking soap..."

[Emma the Loyal Sharpette]

Emma laughed at Bebe's orders.

"Yes ma'am." She mocked seriousness and saluted Bebe.

"Hey, thanks again for helping me with this and getting that paint out of the costume. I really appreciate it." Emma said.

[Bebe Tenko]

"Not a problem, Miss Emma," Bebe winked. She truly felt like Emma could become a close friend. They were rather similar, surprisingly. She shoved the blue button and threw the dress into the coin-op. "And now we wait, like the Chinese ladies at the laundromats."

Emma smiled at Bebe started up the washing machine. She stood there in a slightly uncomfortable silence, not really knowing what to say. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other.

"So, what made you come to Lava Springs this summer?" Emma asked, arms folded, and eyebrows raised.

[Bebe Tenko]

"My parents come every year," Bebe shrugged, "and they were sick of me staying at home and studying, so they dragged me here with them. I guess it's working out good..." Bebe smiled, thinking of that guy, and Miss Lea, and Miss Emma as well.

"That's cool!" Emma smiled at Bebe. "So this is your first time here then? Wow. I've been here every summer ever since I was little. I practically grew up here. My parents are really good friends with the Evans, so they invited us to come every summer."

Emma stopped to think about the Evans, especially Sharpay, and how she realized she spent so much time worrying about impressing Sharpay, that she never really developed her own person. Well she did, she just never showed it...just like Bebe said before.
