[Just a clarification on this thread, this is mainly for Ryan and Sharpay to come talk to their parents, and if Fulton needs something he come talk to them too. But if you have a legitimate reason to talk to the Evans Parents, then you can post here too. Thank you! ;D]
Katherine read quietly in the large living room area of the Master Suite. She yawned slightly, and then curled up even more in the large chair she was in. She turned a page, and then called out for her husband.
"Vance?"
He popped his head in the room from the small kitchen that was connected to the living room.
"Yes?" He answered.
"Will you bring me some tea?" Katherine asked, still not looking up from her book.
Vance rolled his eyes. "Can't you get it? I'm on the phone with the investors for my company."
"No, I'm in the middle of an important chapter." Katherine answered.
Vance sighed loudly, and went back to his phone conversation. Katherine didn't even realize he blew her off, until she read 2 more pages. Katherine finally looked up from her book, and then went into the kitchen. She banged through the cabinets and found some Earl Grey tea, that she quickly made.
"We really need to invest in a maid or someone in here." Katherine mumbled to herself. "Have to get my own tea..."
She went back into the vast living room area, and curled back up in the large chair. Vance finally came in and laid down on the couch across the way from the chair Katherine was in.
"I hate doing business over the phone." Vance said with his eyes closed.
"Well you are supposed to be on vacation dear, and you know I don't want you leaving in that helicopter again to go to the office." Katherine said, still looking at her book.
Vance looked at his wife, with one eye open.
"I see you got your tea. Did you call someone to come make it for you?" Vance teased.
Katherine picked up a pillow nearby, and threw it at him, with a slight smile on her lips. "I got it myself, you jerk."
Vance laughed at Katherine. "Good to know you can still make your own tea."

Ryan was creeping along as quietly as he could in the hallway outside of the Master Suite, the door was open and he could clearly hear his parents in there, behaving all lovey dovey. He could hear it in their teasing voices, it was the same way they talked to one another on the golf course, the moments that they seemed to forget they had children.
He loved his parents dearly, but he couldn't help but be sicked by the idea of his parents being intimate, even in the simplest of way. He knew they would both be sprawled out on the couch, mumbling the proverbial sweet nothings to one another. Ryan thought sadly that while his parents could be openly loving, he and Sharpay had to sneak around at all times, they had very few safe havens.
He would just go into his room and lie down, the connecting suite door open to Shar's room. The grimace on his face turned into a smile as he continued his steady lurking to his room, with any luck he would go unnoticed, just as he liked it.

Sharpay's bedroom door was opened, while she was watching random programs on the TV inside, lying on her bed on her stomach. She kept on switching from channel to channel, hoping to find a proper program. After some more minutes of channel surfing and still no satisfaction, she pressed the off button on the remote, sighing.
When her TV was turned off, she could hear their parents from their room being all sickeningly sweet to each other, but sweet nevertheless. She sighed as she thought about wanting to do the same with Ryan, openly expressing their love without caring who might hear or see them.
She stood up, wanting to close the door so she wouldn't hear any more from her parents. When she was about to close her door, however, she caught sight of Ryan, lurking towards his room. She smiled and leaned on her door frame as she continued to watch him, hoping with him that their parents' wouldn't notice.

Vance and Katherine laughed slightly at their teasing. Katherine took a sip of her hot tea, when she heard a slight creak come out from the hallway. She got up to see who was causing the creaking. She opened the door further and saw Ryan sneaking down the hallway, almost to his room.
"Trying to avoid your own mother are you?" Katherine said, leaning against the doorway, smirking at Ryan, holding her mug with both hands.

Ryan was startled by the sound of his mother's voice from behind him, he wheeled around to face her and smacked square into the brunt of the door molding of the adjacent kitchen area.
"Ugh," He laughed as he clutched his head. "Hi Mom." He answered happily, trying to step out of the sneaking stance he had taken. "I'm not trying to avoid you," He answered into a nervous chuckle. "What would make you think that?" He asked, calming his voice as he folded his arms over his chest.

Katherine tried not to smile too big when she saw how much she startled Ryan, and saw him smack into the door molding. She ran her forefinger along the rim of her cup, and started to walk over towards him.
"Well maybe for the fact that you were creeping down the hallway to get to your room." Katherine smiled. She wrapped one of her arms around her son, while still holding the hot tea mug in the other hand.
"Is there something wrong, Ducky?"

Ryan both inwardly cursed and smiled at his mom all for the same reason, she knew him all too well, which would prove to be a problem later on while he held onto such a secret. "Yeah mom, I'm fine," He looked at her and gave a light nod and smile.
He hugged her tightly, in a way he hadn't done in a long time, it was just good to feel like his parents were here, they would be absent again as soon as summer ended, so he just decided to enjoy the moments they did have. He smiled back at her as he broke the hug, knowing that nothing needed to be said, not that that would stop his mother.

Katherine smiled down at her sun, as he hugged her tightly. She wrapped her arms around him, and closed her eyes, as she clung onto him too. It seems that just yesterday Ryan was barely able to walk and talk, and now here he was, almost a grown man. Katherine teared up a little at realizing how fast Ryan grew, and how sad she was that it seemed she missed a lot of it. Katherine let go, once Ryan broke the hug.
"Well, I know you're hiding something my dashing boy. You can't keep anything from your mother. She knows all!" Katherine laughed. "But I guess, I could let it slide...for now."
Katherine turned back towards where Vance was laying down on the couch, and saw him sleeping. She rolled her eyes, and then looked back at Ryan.
"By the way, I wanted to apologize for the other night. I know things got out of control with my drinking, and I want you to know that I won't be doing that again." Katherine apologized to her son.
Or at least, I won't be doing that again around the kids...
"So, your father told me that I forgot Sharpay's name the other night at dinner. How did that go over with her?" Katherine smirked, wanting to see Ryan's reaction to that whole situation.

Ryan let out a roaring laugh and then shot his mother a look of apology. "Mom, let's out it this way, you toasted us as Ryan and Blondie." He said raising his eyebrows in a light smirk, he was definitely closer to his mom than his dad, she understood him better. He gave her another hug, smaller this time.
He looked at her with a light smile. "Don't worry mom, dad took good care of you," He said with a nod, looking at his now sleeping father sprawled out on the couch. "And even after you left, Shar and I didn't drink the wine you left." He added as reasssurance that all in all, Vance and Katherine Evans had raised good children.

Sharpay was just watching the whole scene between her mom and Ryan. She knew he was definitely closer to their mother than to their father, just as she was closer to the latter. She smiled at how touching the scene is...Ryan hugging their mom. She couldn't remember the last time they did it.
She sighed happily, a little louder than she had intended to, while still leaning on her bedroom door frame. She was biting on her lower lip when they started talking about Katherine Evans forgetting her daughter's name. That was one of the events she would never ever forget now. She suddenly wondered if she could have been forgotten that easily...but she shook that thought away, it left as quickly as it entered her mind.

Katherine tried to stiffle a laugh when Ryan told her what she called Sharpay. She shook her head and smiled at her own forgetfulness when she drank.
"I hope Sharpay isn't too upset by that. It was only the wine. I would never forget my precious girl's name, otherwise." Katherine smiled, as she gratefully accepted another hug from her Ducky.
"Glad to hear you kids didn't drink the wine. We will save that for another birthday." Katherine said in a low voice, and with a wink.
Katherine always felt so much closer to Ryan than Sharpay. She wanted to have the same special relationship with both, but she felt Ryan and her had a special connection. He was her Ducky. Just as Sharpay was Vance's princess. She always thought it just had to do with the mother/daughter fights as Sharpay was growing up and struggling to find herself. Katherine always hoped that in the future, she and Sharpay would have a great relationship.
Katherine sipped her tea slightly and then looked back at Ryan. "So what have you and your sister been up to? I hardly ever see you two anymore. Rehearsing those numbers for Ms. Darbus? Relaxing by the pool?" Katherine paused, and then smiled lovingly at her son. "Writing an award-winning novel?"
Katherine felt bad for Ryan after the fight the other night. Vance has always been so hard on Ryan, and Katherine never saw why. Was it just a male thing? Because he was the son? She didn't see any reason why Ryan to had be anyone but himself. She just wanted to see Ryan happy with his life, no matter what his career choice.

Ryan gave his mom a heartfelt smile, he knew that she supported whatever he wanted to do, no matter how stupid or improbable, she just might not be able to handle the fact her children who were behaving oddly, like lovestruck teenagers, were in love with one another.
Ryan looked off in thought. "Oh you know, same old, same old." He said, giving he the charming smile that made him her ducky, dashing boy. "I'm thinking or writing a book actually." He said, the idea had been tugging on his mind a lot he hadn't even told Sharpay yet. He looked at his mom to see how she'd react, hoping it would be with her characteristic smile and hug.

"Really? You really are thinking of writing a book? Oh Ducky, that's wonderful!" Katherine beamed at Ryan. She pulled Ryan close to her, in a long motherly hug. She was so proud that Ryan still wanted to follow his dreams, even after Vance uncorked on him. Katherine swore to herself that she would never let Vance crush either of children's dreams, no matter what.
She ruefully let go of Ryan, wanting to hold onto him longer, and looked at him with such pride.
"You are going to be a wonderful writer. Any ideas you playing around with?" Katherine asked, her eyebrows up, and smile playing on her lips.

Ryan let a small smirk play across his face, trying to seem as innocent as possible, but in the back of his mind he knew full well that Sharpay was listening mere feet away, the door of her room open. "I think I wanna be like that Sparks guy, the one who writes all the romances, I had a dream the other night and it left me... inspired." He said happily, he was saving the mischievous smile for Sharpay, to his mother he was still her little boy.

Sharpay let out an uncontrollable giggle upon hearing Ryan's answer, which made her presence more known to her mother and Ryan. So she quickly grabbed her cell phone inside her room, then went back to her spot on the door, pretending to talk to someone while still giggling at what Ryan had said, knowing full well he was talking about their "date".
