Humuhumu {Mostly Ryan and Sharpay}

[Sharpay Evans]

Sharpay looked down a bit when he mentioned the Wildcats and how they treated her. She shook her head gently, ignoring that thought for a while.

She laughed at how Ryan pretended to be disgusted at Troy and Gabriella's relationship. "That's true. They truly deserve each other, anyway. I mean, they're both slow." She smirked, raising her eyebrows at him, grinning. Deep down she was really glad she's over Troy, now she knows what she has been missing her whole life. This is so much better.

Ryan smiled at that thought, if not for all the social stigmas, they would be the cutest couple at East High, they would get the coveted spot in the yearbook. They would just have to live with the idea of being pushed aside, forgotten, unaccepted.

Ryan sighed happily as he thought that maybe it wouldn't always have to be a secret, after all once the rest of the Wildcats started pairing up, there would be no possibility of avoiding the inevitable, people would soon start to realize what was going on, they would have to. Ryan knew the Wildcats could be slow, but once it started glaring them in the face, it would all have to change.

Hopefully for the better.

Sharpay agreed inwardly with Ryan's thoughts about the Wildcats. They were known for pairing up, thus, Zeke's desperate attempts to get a girl for himself. She shook her head lightly, knowing that this secret is bound to come out anytime soon.

Oddly, she isn't that afraid anymore. She knows other people won't accept them just as easily as Gabriella did, but still, she has nothing to worry about. After all, Ryan had promised her that nothing will change between them even after everyone finds out. And she knew they would make it, after all, the Evans twins are unstoppable. She smiled at the thought.

She suddenly smirked when an idea hit her. She took a deep breath, then cupped her hands to her mouth. She began to yell in her slightly high-pitched voice, "I LOVE THIS MAN, I LOVE RYAN EVANS WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL! I HAVE THE MOST GORGEOUS AND SEXIEST BOYFRIEND IN THE WORLD!"

Ryan, whose eyes had been closed peacefully as his head lay back against the wall, suddenly shot awake to the sounds of Sharpay screaming at the top of her lungs. He was originally going to place his hands over her mouth and castigate her speaking of all the things they were trying to avoid. He then realized, he didn't care anymore, let them hear. Ryan just smiled and let the words spill from her mouth, knowing that if they knew, it would be all worthwhile.

He leaned his head close to hers, smiling against her earlobe. "I love you." He whispered happily. "Did you know that?" He asked playfully.

Sharpay loved the feeling of finally being able to let it out, to let the world know how happy and lucky she is to have Ryan. She giggled, as she leaned back on to him, smiling so wide. She nodded at his question, slightly shuddering at the feeling of his lips near her earlobe. "I know that." She said softly, turning her head a little to face him. "Did you know that I love you too?" She gently placed a hand on his cheek, lightly caressing his face.

Ryan's goofy grin grew even larger when she touched his face lightly. He gave her a happy nod. "Yeah, I knew that." He smiled at her happily, he knew that when he was excited like this he looked akin to a little boy surrounded by his toys. He was just happy to be in such a symbiotic relationship.

He moved one of his hands to her face, letting his fingertips tease along her smooth skin slowly. "I wouldn't be afraid if they found out, it would make it so much easier, even if they hated us for it." His lips twitched nervously. "At least we wouldn't have to keep it a secret."

Sharpay found herself leaning onto his hand, just loving the feeling of his fingertips on her skin. She nodded gently at what he had said, knowing they won't be accepted as easily as other couples. She felt nervousness creep on her chest as she thought about their parents finding out. She doesn't care if the whole school finds out, but their parents...it made her feel a little bit afraid.

"What if mom and dad finds out?" She asked him in a small voice, losing her voice slightly.

Ryan looked at her firmly in regards to her remark about their parents, his heart stung when she heard her voice break and soften. "If mom and dad find out, I'll handle it." He said nodding at her, his face becoming very stern. "I won't let them separate us, no matter what." He gave her a reassuring smile, trying to believe everything he'd said himself.

[Sharpay Evans]

Sharpay shook her head gently, looking back at him. "I wouldn't want to be separated from you, ever. I'd die, seriously." Her eyes were wide in fear at the thought of being forcibly sent to the other part of the country or world opposite him just to keep them apart. "I just wish we'd be old enough to live on our own before they find out about this..." she sadly sighed, looking down at their hands and arms entangled with one another.

Ryan gave her the most comforting look he could muster, trying to cover his own nerves at that moment, all he was concerned with was making her feel better. "I won't let them, I promise you on pain of death, I won't let them do anything that prevents us from being together." He hugged her tighter, trying to steal all of her pain and worries through that simple gesture.

"I'd do anything to keep us together, even if it means giving up everything else in the process." He said firmly, knowing he'd give up his comfortable upper crust lifestyle, just for a life filled with love.

Sharpay closed her eyes and returned the tight hug, hoping it would take all her fears away. She sighed, and in that action, she felt all of her nerves starting to calm down. She snuggled closer to him, not wanting to let him go.

"We'll never be apart, right? No matter what happens?" She asked him, still in a small voice, but a whole lot calmer. "We'll always be together, right?" She somehow knew it's possible, after all, anything is possible for the Evans twins, they would make it if they want to. Their passion and dedication is their key.

Sharpay felt relieved at that realization. She started to smile, even without his reply. His arms wrapped tight around her was already the answer all along.

Ryan felt Sharpay relax in his arms, bringing him to his own pleasant realization, he decided he would answer her, just so it would be one of those things he spoke aloud, she would always have that reassurance that he would be there, and they would be together.

He looked firmly out at the wall across from them, clutching her in his arms gently. "Nothing will keep you from me in this life or the next." He spoke in the most decided tone he could muster while sleep threatened to overtake him.

Sharpay smiled happily, even with her eyes closed, she could see his face as he spoke the most reassuring words she had ever heard her whole life. She held on to his arms, as if her life depended on it, which is somewhat true. She let out a small yawn escape her lips, feeling herself slowly dozing off.

I love you so much, I'll never get tired saying it. She let her thoughts speak for her, having found not enough strength to voice it out loud.

Meanwhile... on the stage...
Bebe ran into the stage area, huffing and puffing. In the whole mess surrounding Emma's dress, she'd forgotten to put the coral pink staircase on the stage! Ugh! She set the thing down with a thud and ran away. As she ran down the stairs, she tripped over her flip-flops and skidded across the floor.
Bebe pulled herself up before crying softly and running back out.
