Emma gently turned into the vast driveway that belonged to the Evans family. Just like clockwork, the golden gates opened as Emma's lime green convertible bug approached them. She smirked knowing Sharpay had told the security to let her in. Flashbacks seemed to cloud her mind as she saw the large mansion approaching fast. All those nights sleeping over and talking into the early hours of the morning. Emma had received her first makeover right here in the Evans' mansion. She smiled fondly, as she gently parked her car in the spots reserved for guests. Emma hadn't been over for a while, but she knew all too well about where everything goes.
She quickly checked her make-up and curled hair in the mirror and got out of her car. She tugged on the bottom of her pink and black baby tee, and smoothed out the creases in her jeans. Her flip flops cracked against the pavement as she made her way up to the large doors. She took a deep breath, and placed one of her perfectly manicured fingers and held down the doorbell. She heard it chime through out the whole house. Emma stood there, more nervous than she had ever been before at the Evans' front door.

Sharpay was just sitting on the couch, reading a magazine with an iced tea on the table when she heard the doorbell rang. She knew it was Emma. She had called her and invited her to come just a few minutes ago, and knowing her most loyal Sharpette, she wouldn't dare be late when she calls. She smirked lightly at the thought, she does have some powers over her friends, even more on Emma, who she had considered as her best friend among the Sharpettes. She has been the one who stood by her and defended her even when she didn't ask for it. That's when she realized she had been neglecting Emma a lot lately, when they used to be so close when they were little. Emma had always let her be the princess, while she was happy being just her servant. It made her chuckle that even now that they're grown-ups already, they still play the same roles. Sharpay knew she had to make an effort to rekindle their friendship, she would need true friends especially now, now that she is in a complicated situation.
She didn't wait for a servant to get the door as she stood up herself, dashing towards the large doors of the mansion. She opened them with a smile as she saw Emma standing there, looking a lot like her except for the nervousness that was visible in her face. "Emma, what are you so nervous about?" She asked placing a hand on her hip, smirking at her friend, and motioning with her other hand for her to come in. "It's not like you're applying as a servant, or is that what you came here for?" She asked jokingly, chuckling.

Emma's nerves quickly faded away as she saw Sharpay answer the door, and joke with her. She laughed slightly and entered the mansion. "Actually yes, I was wondering if you needed someone to bathe Boi for you." Emma smiled. She was very excited to be here with Sharpay. It just felt so comfortable. She always felt like it was her second home growing up. She looked up and admired the mansion.
"I forgot how beautiful this place is." Emma said, remembering her and Sharpay running around as little girls all dressed in bright pink dresses, giggling as they chased Ryan, trying to put make-up on him. She smiled, and turned to Sharpay. "So what do you want to do? Shall we place dress up first or do each other's make-up?" Emma joked, as she ran her fingers through her hair. She was glad Sharpay had invited her over. It seemed their friendship had changed so much since they grew up. Emma had missed it sorely, and wanted nothing more than to repair that and have her best friend back in her life. Emma wanted to be able to talk to her about her life, and her relationship with Zeke, and her goals and dreams, just like when they were little.

Sharpay smiled as Emma entered the mansion, giggling at what she had said. "Sorry, but Boi is very picky with servants, you know." She closed the door behind her, grabbing Emma's arm and dragging her towards the living room. She nodded at her friend when she commented on how beautiful the house is, which reminded her of the fact that Emma had not been there for a long, long time already. She felt a little bit regretful and guilty inside knowing it was her fault she didn't make an effort to repair their friendship. But she tried to shake those feelings as she sat on the couch again, patting the space beside her for Emma to sit on.
When Emma asked her about what she wanted to do, Sharpay cocked her head to the side, thinking. "Hmmm..." she tapped on her chin, waiting for a good idea to enter her mind. But because she had too many stuff on her mind, including thinking about what Ryan is doing at the moment, she couldn't decide. And also, she wanted Emma to decide this time. "I don't know. What do you want to do first?" She asked her, smiling. This was actually the first time that Sharpay is not the one who gets to decide on what they should do.

Emma quickly sat down next to Sharpay on the large couch. She practically sunk into the comfortable cushions. Emma smiled, and bounced slightly on the large couch. She waited to see what Sharpay would say they were doing first, but when Sharpay asked Emma what she wanted to do, Emma's eyes widdened and her jaw dropped slightly. She hadn't expected that answer. Sharpay had never offered to let Emma choose what to do. She smiled at Sharpay, and knew that she had really changed.
"How about we just catch up first. See how things are with each other." Emma said, wanting to start things off right. "And then, I don't know about you, but I could go for some serious snacking and hot guys." Emma remembered that Sharpay and her used to love to grab large quantities of snacks, and watch movies that involved anything with hot guys in them. They would giggle and throw popcorn at each other, and drool over the hot hero in the movie. It was a special girl bonding time. Maybe they would even do makeovers later and take pictures with each other to put on their myspaces. Emma smiled as she knew she wanted to make this friendship even better than what it was when they were younger.

Sharpay smirked at the suggestion. She knew her Sharpette very well, and she already knew it was what she was going to say, so she had made the servants prepare the stuff that they would need. "See, I knew you would say that so..." she called for a servant and she at once entered the room carrying a big bowl of popcorn and cans of sodas enough for the two of them. She smiled at Emma and pointed at the big cabinet that was bought for their stack of DVDs only.
"You want to watch a movie?" She asked her. "We can catch up on each other's fabulous lives while drooling over Orly." She winked at Emma, giggling. "I also had my room ready for a make-over later, if you're up for it."

Emma's mouth dropped as the servants entered with the large amount of popcorn and soda. She looked at Sharpay and smiled and realized how well she really knew Emma. It made her feel...special. Sharpay really was her friend, and did know her. She smelled the buttery popcorn and knew it was the best popcorn ever. The Evans always had the best of everything. Emma grabbed a piece and ate it. "Mmmm...you guys always did have the best popcorn."
She giggled, as Sharpay suggested a movie with Orlando Bloom. "Yeah! That sounds great!" Emma took the initiative and got up and looked at all the DVDs they had with Orlando Bloom. She grabbed the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie and put it in. "Nothing can beat the hot duo of Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp." Emma plopped back down on the coach next to Sharpay and grabbed a handful of popcorn. She turned to look at her. "So, how have things been going, Sharpay? Anything new and exciting going to happen this year at East High?" Emma asked, still munching on her popcorn.

Sharpay laughed slightly as she watched Emma's mouth dropped when she saw what she had prepared for her. She grabbed a piece of the popcorn and ate it, as she nodded. "Yup, I'm quite proud of our popcorn. And guess what, this one is special too. I had them used low-fat butter, so we could go crazy without worrying." She said and winked at her, as she turned her eyes to the screen and squealed at the mention of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom together.
"Great choice, Em. Hottie galore!" She clapped her hands excitedly as the movie starts. But when she asked her about how things has been going with her, her mind just started to drift back to Ryan, making her gaze look dreamy and the smile on her lips uncontrollable. She let out a happy sigh, but when she turned to look at Emma to answer the question, she was suddenly reminded that she doesn't know. So her dreamy gaze and smile went back to its normal state instantly. "Oh, well, you know. Same stuff. I still rule the school." She said with a smirk, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. She was hoping Emma wouldn't ask her about her love life, that would be hard to answer, even for an actress like her.

Emma smirked at Sharpay's answer. "Of course you still rule the school. Who do you think would take it away from you? No one could ever do that!" Emma said, flicking her hand, as she reached for more popcorn. She placed a few pieces in her mouth, and looked at the television screen. She sighed contently looking at the hot Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp flash on the screen. She then settled back in the couch more, and brought her feet up, and sat indian style.
Emma then looked back at Sharpay. "So, have you talked to Troy recently?" Emma hadn't talked to Sharpay about her love life recently, and as far as she still knew, Troy was her main squeeze. Emma could definitely understand why. Troy was a total cutie, but since Sharpay and Gabriella had become good friends, she didn't know how that whole situation was settled. She wondered if maybe Sharpay had moved on to someone else, or if she was content just being single right now. Whichever one it was, Emma didn't feel it was the right time yet to just come out and ask her about her love life, but she knew before the night was over, she would definitely inquire about it.

Sharpay pretended to be interested as the Troy subject was brought up, just for effect. She can't just shock Emma into telling her she has moved on oh so suddenly, when she had a crush on the guy for years. "Oh, well, yeah we have talked, but he's avoiding me so...you know, I'm too good for those kind of guys, anyway." She said, feigning a sad look on her face as she shrugged her shoulders. She wasn't the lead of 17 school productions for nothing.
But now she had to think of something to divert Emma's attention from her own love life. "How about you Em? East High have lots of cute guys, and I know someone has definitely caught your attention. So spill." She said, crossing her legs comfortably on the couch. She just took glances on Orlando and Johnny, but her attention is more on Emma. Another reason why she returned the question to her is that she really wanted to know what's been happening with her lately. She has been hearing rumors around the school about Emma having a boyfriend, and being a friend, she has the right to know about that.

Emma nodded and felt sorry for Sharpay. Troy was a good guy and they totally deserved each other. She just wondered why Sharpay seemed to have been so ready to move on, like how suddenly Troy wasn't good enough for her. Troy was always the main catch, and the perfect guy. Plus, Sharpay was never one to give in until she got what she wanted. Emma shrugged it off, and knew that eventually she would find out everything behind it. She just knew she had to wait for the right time to ask, or wait for Sharpay to just spill it.
Emma blushed when Sharpay brought up her love life. Now was the time to confess who her boyfriend was. "Well, I kind of have a boyfriend. And he's kind of....." Emma paused, not really wanting to tell Sharpay for fear of her reaction. "....He's kind of Zeke." Emma stopped, and looked at Sharpay, just waiting to see her reaction. She wanted to explain why she liked Zeke, and how it came to happen, how happy she is with him, but also her concerns because she still is practically in love in Marco., but she couldn't. Her voice stopped working after she said who it was. She just sat there, chewing some popcorn, waiting for Sharpay's response.

Sharpay had already grabbed her can of soda and drank a little of it when she heard Emma's answer, which made her almost spray the liquid out. It took her a lot of control to fight the urge of spitting the drink out, and thankfully she had managed to keep it in, leaving her a little red on the face. When she had swallowed it down, she faced Emma, looking totally shocked. "What?!" she sputtered out, while getting her hanky out from her denim shorts' pocket. She patted her lips with her pink hanky, while raising her eyebrow at Emma.
"You...you're dating...you're dating Baylor?!" She asked incredulously, her eyes wide-eyed. She shook her head in disbelief, shuddering lightly. Why would Emma date Zeke, of all people? She doesn't even want to think about it.

Emma slowly shifted away from Sharpay on the couch. She knew Sharpay would practically have a heart attack when she told her. Emma looked down at the popcorn in her hands, and suddenly didn't feel like eating it. She grasped it tightly, as if the popcorn was going to help her get through this situation. She shifted uneasily, and then decided she better speak up and explain herself, or she would have to deal with a flabbergasted Sharpay the rest of her time here.
"It was so unexpected Sharpay. I would have never believed it myself if someone had told me at the end of the summer. Just, on the first day of school, Zeke showed me around the school and to my classes. He was so sweet and nice and I really got to know him. We played 20 questions and we opened up a lot to each other. And then suddenly, we were kissing and it just..." Emma paused. "..progressed from there. I know you and him haven't always been on the best of terms, but he's really a sweet guy, Sharpay. I know if you got to know him, you would like him. It was just unexpected. I never thought we would be a couple, but everytime we are together, it's just fun and sweet." She looked at Sharpay, hoping some of this would make sense to her.

Sharpay just kept silent as she heard Emma explain. Of course, most of the things she said hit her like a bullet. How could she be so insensitive? She had experienced the exact same thing with Ryan. The whole unexpected thing, the realizations...and hers was even more complicated. At least Zeke and Emma are not related, everyone could accept them so easily without further questioning.
She looked softly at Emma, her eyes now full of understanding as she gave her a gentle nod. "I'm just being dramatic, you should know that." She said in a joking manner, patting her friend on the shoulder. "Well, I'm happy for you, seriously. And I actually have to thank you for helping him get over me." She rolled her eyes and laughed gently, nudging Emma. "But can we not talk about um...you and him kissing? I'm still not ready to hear those kind of stuff." She stuck her tongue out, and pointed at it, pretending to gag.

Emma was suddenly caught off guard when Sharpay responded so nicely. It was like a total 180, and now she was being understanding? Emma didn't get it, but she was grateful for it! She smiled and laughed at Sharpay's gagging. "No problem, Shar." Emma laughed, feeling a huge weight lift off her shoulders. She began to eat the popcorn in her hand again, and took a long sip from her soda. She smiled at Sharpay, and slowly leaned back into the couch.
"Well, now that we have that covered, I need your advice on something very serious." Emma said. "As you know, I tend to be a bit of a flirt." Emma coughed, knowing that was the understatement of the year. That was the reason she never could keep a relationship going. She was always flirting and more with guys who weren't her boyfriend, but it seemed it was always her breaking off the relationship and not the guy. "Well, now that I'm in a steady relationship, I want to be true to Zeke, but I still have a big thing for Marco." Emma said totally exasperated at the worst luck of her life. She just seemed she could never be with one guy, she had to have more. Maybe this is why she was called a sleeper all the time? She shook her head, riding her mind of those totally and utterly stupid thoughts. She wasn't a sleeper. She just didn't like commitment. She looked at Sharpay, almost pleading with her to help her.
