Emma quickly parked her lime green convertable bug in front of the familiar house. She could feel herself almost loosing control. After everything that just happened in the theater with Marco and Sharpay, there was only one person she wanted to see. There was only one person that could make it all right again. Emma just hoped she wasn't too late to make things right.
She jumped out of her car, and dashed her way up to the large door. She felt like crying, just knowing she was here, so close to Zeke. Emma knew her hair was probably a mess from running to her car. Her eyes were probably red, and her make-up smeared from crying. Her white and pink stripped polo shirt and plain jeans were probably the most normal looking things on her. Emma sighed, as she slowly reached her finger to ring the doorbell. She could almost feel another wave of tears about to overcome her. She took a deep breath, as she stood outside, hoping and praying Zeke was home, and that he would make things right in her world, once again.

Zeke smiled as he got out the flour for May. "Hey, don't make a mess with this one" he said as he looked at the flour that May dropped the earlier when she was trying to dump it into the bowl. "I got in trouble for that..." his voice faded. Once again he brough memiories of him and Emma. "Never mind." he said shaking his head. Then all of sudden the doorbell rang. He quickly glanced at May and then at the door. "Hold on a second." he said backing up from the ingredents.
As Zeke walked pass the mirror he glanced at himself. The apron was convered in stains from other recipes and his face had flour on it when May dropped it on the floor and it went all over the place. He sighed as he walked back over to the door. He opened up and saw Emma.
His heart stopped. He didn't know to be either pissed, happy, sad or D all of the above. He could be pissed because the girl just shows up at his house after about what seemed like months but was probobly only a few weeks, of a fight they had where it seemed like they would never talk to each other again. Though he could be happy because well Emma WAS there. Emma WANTED to get back together. Or he was sad because maybe Emma was here to yell at him again and then leave. Or he could be all of the above. Which is how he felt.
"Uh..." was all he could do. He ran a hand threw his hair and then placed it on his neck. "Um..." he said closing his eyes. He couldn't think of anything to say. "Do you... uh..." he couldn't really form words. He cleared his voice and avoided Emma's eyes. "Wanna come... um... in." he then closed his eyes. "Or did you come to yell at me?" he muttered.

Emma looked up as the large door swung open. She took a slight breath in, when Zeke appeared at the door. She felt like she couldn't breath. It was all so surreal to be at his house, with him standing in front of her. He was in a stained apron and flour was on his face. It was the same old Zeke, still baking and making life wonderful. When he stuttered Emma could feel her heart pounding. Was he not happy to see her? Was he still angry? Should she not have come? Emma bit her bottom lip, trying to hide her fear that she might have lost Zeke forever.
When he was able to invite her inside, she walked into the house slowly. She let herself linger as she passed by Zeke, catching the familiar scent that belonged to Zeke. It made her want to grab him and hold him, and never let go. Emma fought her instincts and finally turned around to face Zeke, once she was in the house. "Zeke, I would never come to yell at you. I came over here to say...." Emma paused. She knew she wanted this to be from the heart. She had never been so wrong about Marco, and Zeke had been so right. "I came to say I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Zeke. You were right all along about Marco. He's an evil person, that just wants to hurt everyone. I'm so sorry I didn't listen to you. I know I can't make up for it, but I hope you can accept my apology." Emma stopped, feeling a few tears roll down her cheeks. She hated crying in front of people, but somehow it felt soothing to do it in front of someone she trusted so deeply.
"I-I'd love it if we could...um...be friends?" Emma said. She honestly wanted to get back together, but she didn't want to make Zeke rush back into anything if he was still angry with her. Emma looked at the lushcious man standing before her. All she wanted to do was kiss him, so badly. She wanted to be his again. She wanted to wear his necklace he gave her before, and always and forever belong to Zeke Baylor.

As Emma sat there Zeke stared at her. Her eyes were puffy and red. Was she crying before? Her make-up was also smeered. Though she still looked perfect from Zeke's point of view. He watched her stand there looking at him. Was she examining him?? Should he have changed before answeing the door? He shook his head and looking at Emma. All the memiores past by as they just stood there staring at each other. He blinked a few times and sighed. Why had that stuipd summer party happened??
Zeke slowly walked infront of her. He looked around to see if everything looked fine or if something was diffrent and made Emma want to leave th house. As Emma walked past him he smiled at her. Once Emma turned around he blinked a few times and pressed his lips together so he could hear every word she wanted to say and remeber it. He held back a gasp once she said she was sorry. It was like a dream. She was sorry.
"I--" though she countied. He sighed and bit his lower lip once Emma said he was right about Marco. He wanted to say I TOLD YOU SO but it wasn't the right time. At all. Plus he wasn't that kind of guy. "I..." he started once she stopped talking. "I..." he stuttered out again. Once she started crying he bit his lower lip. "Don't cry Emma." he said. "Its... not your fault." he said sighing. "I mean... you loved Marco. When you love something then... you..." he rubbed his neck. "You only belive what the person that they want them to be. Not who they actullay are." he said sighing.
Once she said if they still wanted to be friends he bit his lower lip. "It would fine with me if it is fine with you." he said sighing. "Because... I miss you." he said. "I hated not having someone who I could say anything to and not be joked around with." he said sighing. Though he didn't want to be friends. He wanted to be more then friends. He wanted to run over to her kiss her and give her back the necklace and be together forever. They could go to the prom and dance the night away. Have fun afterwords and just be... them. Together. Skip classes again. Okay. Maybe not that. Though just be in love with Emma the loyal Sharpette.

Emma suddenly felt herself crying even more as Zeke tried to comfort her. She wiped away the tears quickly, trying to calm herself down. It felt so surreal to be crying with Zeke in front of her. She smiled gratefully as he talked to her about the situation. She knew he was being all too kind to her. He should have been rubbing it in that he was right, and that Marco was just a bad person. She was thankful that he didn't though. Zeke always seemed more mature than to be petty like that.
Emma took a step closer to Zeke when he told her he missed her. She wanted to suddenly be closer to him. "I miss you too Zeke. A lot. I miss all the times we had and the special bond. It was so amazingly wonderful. I'm sorry I screwed it up." Emma shook her head, knowing it was all her fault that she wasn't in Zeke's arms right now. "I'm glad that we can still be friends." Emma knew she sounded sad as she muttered the word 'friends.' She didn't want to push anything though. She figured it would happen, if it was meant to be. "So, am I interrupting anything? I know I just showed up out of the blue. It was important to me to come find you right away though." Emma took another step closer to Zeke. She just couldn't stay far away from him, especially after what just happened with Sharpay and Marco.

Zeke bit his lip as the was silence. As Emma wiped the tears he smiled. "There we go." he patting her back. "I don't like watching people cry..." he said running a hand threw his hair. Everything felt akwarad. He felt nervous to be around Emma because of what happened. Yes, Emma was apolgizing and they should all be happy and get together and have a happing ending just like the Disney Movies. Though this wasn't a Disney Movie. This was real life were people screw you over and people don't always have happy endings.
"Emma. Stop. Its not your fault." he said running a hand threw his hair. "You didn't screw up." he said as he brought Emma into a hug. "Life screwed you up." he said sighing. He then realized they were back in each others arms. Well... you have to take one step at a time.he thought. When Emma said she was glad they could be friends he sighed. "Well, yeah." he muttered shrugging. "Uh..." he said looking around with a smile. "Well... I was baking with May. She sorta dropped all the flour." he said. He then avoided Emma's eyes because they probobly both thought about the food-fight. Though his eyes just ignored his thoughts and went right up to Emma's beautiful eyes. He bit his lower lip and side-smirked. "So you can cook with us, or we can watch tv or go upstairs or... something." he said shrugging and looking around. He saw the look of but-what-about-us-having-special-time-together look and he glared at her so she shouldn't say it. "Whatever." he said biting his lip again. "You can call what we do." he said shrugging yet again.

Emma felt herself being pulled into Zeke's arms. Suddenly everything in her world felt right. She wrapped her arms around him, and pulled him close. She sighed contently, as Zeke continued to talk. She smiled as Zeke did nothing but comfort her. What a true and genuine person, Zeke was. After everything, he was still able to make her feel like her life was amazing at this moment. She looked up at Zeke, letting their eyes meet after he mentioned May spilling the flour. She was taken back to their food fight in this house. It had been so much fun, and so carefree. She smiled at Zeke. She suddenly knew it was going to be okay.
When Zeke listed off all the suggestions of what to do, Emma was a little overwhelmed. Her first pick was definitely clear. She smiled warmly at Zeke, as she lowered her arms from holding him. "I'd love to cook with you and May...if it's okay with you both. I've missed May so much." Emma said, realizing how true this statement was. That beautiful redheaded girl made her smile like no one else. Emma didn't want to just jump in cooking, if May was a little upset that Emma broke it off with Zeke. She could definitely understand if there was some anger there. She just hoped she could make it up to her little best friend. Emma smiled at Zeke, as she slipped her hand into his. "Thank you."

As Zeke got closer to Emma, he held back his eagerness to kiss her. Everything seemed to be repetive in his mind. Wishing that summer party didn't happen, wanting to kill Marco, wanting to go back to Emma's arms. Everything he wanted to do he could never do. He couldn't go back in time and make the party didn't happen. He just nedded to stop wishing on wishing stars. He just needed to get over his life.
He smiled at Emma. "It's fine with me." he grinned. "I bet its okay with May if you ask her nicley. I think she missed you." he said turning to his little sister. "Didn't you?" he asked. She shrugged and kept looking at the ground. "Maybe..." May whispered. He smiled and then turned to Emma. "So... come on." he said walking over to the oven. He smiled at her once she took his hand.
"So... we were cooking chocolate chips." he said smiling. "So you can help by getting the eggs out." he smiled. He grabbed a clean apron and threw it at Emma. "There you go." he grinned and then looked around. "Where was I?" he asked. "Oh yeah. May, open the flour without spiling it." he said as he smiled.

Emma smiled gratefully at Zeke and then looked down at May. Emma scooped her into a huge hug, and started to laugh. "Thank you May. Thank you for letting me bake with you both. I've missed you so much!" Emma said, hugging May a little tighter. She followed them into the familiar kitchen, and felt a twinge of sadness. Emma did her best to keep a smile on her face, as Zeke threw her an apron. She quickly put it on and tied it at the waist. Emma turned and grabbed the carton of eggs from the fridge. She placed them on the counter as she watched Zeke talk to May about the flour.
Emma looked at Zeke. "So how are things going with you? It's been a while since we last talked." Emma knew their not talking was entirely her fault, but she was here now and she knew she had to try and make it up to Zeke. Emma smiled at May. "How's school going May? Meet any cute guys?" Emma giggled, as she fiddled around with a wooden spoon on the counter. She was starting to get impatient. She just wanted to confess her undying love to Zeke and pounce on him, and never stop kissing him. Calm down, cowgirl! Get your hormones under control.

Zeke smiled as he watched Emma and May hug. He laughed and shook his head. As the girl hugged Zeke started to clean up the flour trying not to look at Emma. "Thanks." he said to Emma as she got the eggs out. He bit his lower lip as he looked at May who was trying to open the bag. "May... its not hard." he said laughing. May stuck out her tounge at Zeke and then opened it. "Good job!" Zeke said teasingly.
Zeke looked at Emma as she talked. "Uh... fine. I guess." he said shrugging. Other then the fact I've been depressed, kicked, and had my life been turned upside down and have my best girl friends hate me. "Nothin has really happened out of the ordinary." he said shrugging. "What about you?" he asked trying to keep the conversation going.
"School is going... pretty good." May said shrugging. She laughed and shrugged. "Nah." she said. "All of the guys at my school suck." she said in all honesty. "Except Jacob. He's cool." she said smiling. "What about you? Meet any cute guys?" May asked without thinking. Zeke quickly bit his lower lip and braced for the answer knowing it would probobly be a yes. Though he knew that he should just get over Emma and move on with his life.
Though he knew that would never happen. Ever.

Emma watched Zeke intently as he spoke to her. Every action, every word, every hint of expression in his voice...Emma wanted to remember it. She was sad to hear that nothing wonderful had happened to Zeke. She wished he would just tell her how awesome his life is right now, and how he's so happy she isn't in it anymore. That would make it easier to move on. Too bad Emma really didn't want to move on with her life.
Emma smiled as May started to talk. "Oh Jacob? What makes him so cool?" She didn't expect May to ask her about meeting any guys. Of course it was totally preposterous that Emma had met anyone else. "Um, no. I haven't met any guys, May. There isn't a single guy at East High that captures my attention....well, except for one." Emma said, raising her eyes to Zeke. Maybe this wasn't the best way to hint to Zeke that she still had feelings for him, especially with May right there. Emma found herself not caring anymore. She just wanted to be with Zeke, and she needed him to know how she still felt.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that you both are well." Emma said, as she continued to watch Zeke make the cookies. She started to let her mind wander, as she thought about the last time she kissed Zeke.

Staring at Emma he couldn't help but sigh knowing everything... was over. She and himself would both have to move even if he didn't want to. If Emma wanted to then he had to also. What was the point of seeing Emma moving onto another guy when he still liked her? It would just hurt more then ever. So he just had to move on.
As he stared at his to favorite girls he smiled. He then turned around as they talked about guys. Awkward much? May shrugged sweeping her red hair out of her eyes. "Well, I guess that he actullay talks to me without being stupid." she said laughing. "But I don't know he just is." she grinned as she spoke. Zeke laughed as May talked. She was so funny. He then leaned in as Emma started to talk about the guys in Emma's life. Okay yeah it was considered easedropping but he had to know if he had to move on quicker then he thought he would. He tensed up as he heard the word um escape her lips. No. His shoulder dropped and he let out a deep breath. Good. If he had to move on - which was his guessing- he had time to do it one step at a time. He looked over at Emma their's eyes meeting. He quickly drew them away knowing that his eyes would show all the feelings he had for her.
He then sighed as he looked at May adn then at Emma. He had to tell her. That was it. He was going to explode if he didn't talk to Emma. He eyed his little sister who eyed him back. They were having a conversation with there eyes. She then stomped off.
"Look Em. You know we need to talk. You came here to talk. So lets, well, talk."

Emma smiled and listened as May talked and continued on. She nodded, and laughed at the statements she was making. "Well, it sounds like this Jacob is a really cool kid. I hope to meet him soon." Emma smiled. She glanced at Zeke and noticed that he was looking at May, who was staring back at him. Emma glanced from one to the next, realising they must have been having an intense moment. She watched as May suddenly wandered off.
Emma looked up at Zeke as he suddenly spoke. She was thrilled and also terrified at the same time. What if Zeke just wanted to talk to get it done and over with? What if he was going to dump her completely? Emma knew that she just had to try to win him back. No matter what. She loved Zeke with all her heart.
"Zeke, I need to tell you something important. I made the biggest mistake of my life dumping you. I don't know what came over me. I chose the wrong path. I'm so sorry. I would do anything to take away your heartache I caused you." Emma paused. She wasn't sure if she should continue.
Emma took a deep breath, and placed her hand in Zeke's. She squeezed it slightly. "Zeke, I love you. I'll always love you. I just want to be your girl again. I want to belong to you, and only you. You make me laugh, and smile, and think, and feel, and want to live life. I wake up knowing my life is better when you are in it. I want to be there for you, and make your life better too. I want to give back for all the heartache I caused you. Zeke, my heart belongs to you....if you want it. I will completely understand if you don't want me back."
Emma stopped. She looked at her hand placed so gently in Zeke's loving hand. His skin was so soft. Emma raised her eyes to meet Zeke's. She remained silent, completely petrified by his response.
