Troy Bolton, the all star player on East High Wildcats Basketball team, was in charge of all the tryouts. They had needed at least 8 or more players on the team and so far he was the only one along with Zeke, Jason and Chad. Everyone else had to tryout again to be on the team.
Troy was sure that Marco would try to make the team but he wasn't sure who else would. He heard the gym doors open for the people who was trying out. When they walked in Troy began introducing. "Welcome, I'm Troy Bolton, captain of the East High Wildcats. State your Name, age and show us your stuff! One at a time please and show any tricks you got. Make sure you do 2 pointers and try for 3 and half court!" He began watching everyone practice.

He walked into East High's gym. He hadn't thought about trying out until now, but he had decided that since it was his Senior year and then high school was over, he was going to make the best of it. He saw Troy Bolton, and smiled a little bit, he watched as the others did what they did best. He walked over to Troy and smiled a little bit. He was going to have to be on alert now.
"Hey Troy." He said as he looked around, this was the first time since nineth grade, the first public school he'd gone to, that he'd been on the basketball team, or any other team for that matter. He was fairly good at basketball, and usually could handle doing multiple things at once. He wasn't sure whether this was the right time or not, but he was going to at least attempt to have some freedom in his life, starting with the activities that he liked to do.
"I heard you guys were having basketball tryouts?" He asked, as he looked at them, he didn't know for sure that the guys on the court had all been trying out for it, or were already members of the team, he wasn't exactly sure. He was going to find out before he made a fool of himself. That was the last thing he needed.

Jack Bolton parked his car next to the gym door and sighed. He closed the door and then walked into the gym, his keys ringing with each step. "Troy, go get dressed and try-out, I made it back from my meeting early." he said across the gym. He then sat down, and pointed to the guy with blonde hair. He picked up the ball. "The basic's, hopefully you know them. This is a ball. You shoot it through to the net, and hopefully it will go into the net. That is how you win." he said throwing the ball at the boy.
"Name? Grade? Age? Homeroom." he said quickly. "All of you." he said pointing to a group of freshman who were laughing and talking. "Get out of the gym if you want to talk and laugh!" his voice boomed. "Stay here if you want to try out for basketball." he said. He was in anger, by the stupid freshman. "Sorry, go ahead." he said pointing to the ball in the young boys hands.

Of course he wasn't sure he was getting himself into something good, he figured coaches had to be tough for a reason, but...Coach Bolton definitely was a bit different than anyone he'd ever met, though that was probably a good thing. He didn't know whether Coach Bolton was talking to him specificially or not with his comment on the basics and how to win. Of course he knew how to win, so that wasn't a problem. He'd learned from the best.
"My name is Jake Turner, Senior, eighteen, Ms. Darbus's class." He told Coach Bolton, he didn't like his last name so he never used it. He just used his mother's name as his own if he needed to use a last name. And if anyone wanted more information, well...they'd have problems even finding it. Especially since he used his mother's maiden name on the enrollment information, which at least her maiden name wasn't as strange as his father's. That was just crazy, but he knew things would change here. After being handed the ball he showed Coach Bolton one of the more complicated plays, though it included two and three pointers and shooting from the half court, as well as some other tricks he had. This was a routine that he had done at his old school, though that had been in nineth grade when he last played basketball on a team, and also he'd added more to it over the years.
When he was done he walked back over to the area where all the other people trying out were standing. He just didn't expect anything to happen, of course, now he just had to wait. "Well I just hope I didn't ruin my chances." He thought as he waited to hear either Coach Bolton or Troy speak.

Troy smiled at Jake as if giving a sign he had done really great. Troy looked at Jake and spoke clearly. "Thanks Jake you can stay or leave your choice but we'll let you know if you made it." Troy looked down at the list he made of who might make it and who might not. Troy wrote Jake's name down under the spot he belonged. Basketball Try-outs
Great!!! Jake Faowlery
Not Interested!!! [/u] Duke Fallow Aaric Dangek Andrew Herling (OOC: I just threw in some random names.)[/center] As the next few people he came to someone who looked like they would actually make the team. If they could that was. As his dad walked by he spoke to the student. "Like everyone else just state your name, age, homeroom, and grade. Then show us what you got."

Cameron jumped down the steps and into the Wildcat gym for basketball try-outs. He spotted Jake already there so he walked over next to him. "I'm Cameron Adams,Senior, eighteen, Ms. Darbus" he stated. Then after watching Jake, he was handed the ball. Taking one quick deep breath, he started. Cam went from the half-court, to two pointer, to three pointer. Then he finished with a satisfied smile on his face. He had been on the basketball at his old school also and loved it, so he thought why not try it out here? Then he jogged back over to Coach Bolton and Troy.

"Thanks Troy." He told his new friend as he walked over to the bleachers and sat down, he figured at least, as long as Coach Bolton didn't mind he'd just stay there, he wasn't really sure where else he would go if there was a problem with him being there in the room watching the others, after all, he wasn't about to give anyone any trouble. Though trouble usually followed him.
He stayed put, he thought he might be able to watch the other players try out, at least it would give him something to do, since otherwise he wouldn't have anything to do. He was relieved when Troy had given him the smile which he thought meant that he had done very well, which, he was hoping for, but given how tough Coach Bolton was he wanted to know sooner rather than later. Otherwise, he wouldn't know whether there was anything he could work on or not. He had tried his best and that's all he could hope for. "I really hope I make the team." He thought.
As he kept a look out on the other players and watched as he saw another friend of his Cameron show up, and did his routine, he saw Cameron jog over to Coach Bolton and Troy, wondering whether or not Cameron would do well or not. He had faith that everything happened for a reason, and that usually good things happened to good people. "Wow Cameron's pretty good." He thought.

Bebe ran into the gym - far too late, she'd noticed. She was hoping to catch Chad before he went into the locker room. Unfortunately, she found herself staring at Troy Bolton, Jake, a guy she didn't know who vaguely reminded her of her cousin Matthew, some random freshman, and...
...HIM. The only person Bebe honestly feared. Coach Bolton, the no-nonsense coach of the basketball team. Bebe quickly looked to Troy before bowing deeply to Coach Bolton.
"Gomen nasai, Coach Bolton, sir!" Bebe cried out before striding out of the gym at full speed.
He's gonna yell. He's gonna yell and I'll wet my pants and then Chad will think I'm a moron.
Bebe's arms and legs moved stiffly as she closed the gym door as quickly and silently as possible.

Troy smiled at Cameron at how good he was but wasn't sure where to put him. Troy ended up putting Cameron under the same category as Jake. Troy just noticed Bebe. "Uh, Bebe." He called out to her. "I'm sure your here to see Chad but uh, you have sit on the bleachers and watch or go. This is a closed tryouts." He said trying to be as nice as can be.

He noticed that Troy was talking to someone he recognized, he knew that she was Bebe Chad Danforth's girlfriend, or at least someone who really liked Chad, but he wasn't going to get himself into trouble by intervening. He watched Troy and Bebe for a while and then turned to look at Cameron and Coach Bolton, but clearly things really had to change before things got even more complicated than before.
He was sure that something was up, but didn't figure that it was his place to ask, after all he was a bit...different than most people. Coach Bolton seemed tough but at least he couldn't be near as annoying as some of his old coaches had been, though clearly he wasn't the kind of person to really judge others before really knowing them. Jusging people just wasn't something he liked to do, though clearly there were a few people who easily it could be sensed whether they were doing good and not causing trouble or doing evil and causing trouble.

Chad jogged into the school gym, ready for tryouts. It was a sure thing he’d get in. He’d been training all summer, and heck, last year he’d been one of the best in the team. The new talent didn’t look that good either, so if he didn’t get in, he’d be bloody annoyed.
He was just about to jog over to Troy, prepared to sign up, when he saw Bebe. He grinned widely and jogged over to her, nodding at Troy. “What’s up Troy?” But it was merely cursory. He had more pressing matters on his mind!
“Hey Bebe, what’s up?” He asked, smiling at her. Why was she here? It was just a try-out. But hey, if she was here to watch, he wasn’t going to complain. He loved any excuse to show-off!

Troy smiled. "Hey what's up Chad yeh here to tryout?" He watched as Chad ran over to Bebe and began to talk to her. He knew they were together so he understood him being over there first. "Next! Same as everyone else and show us what you got!"

He spotted someone else he knew, or at least thought he might, and that was Chad Danforth, of course he kept an eye on him, he knew Chad and Troy had been best friends for a while, although he could tell they seemed alot closer than that, almost like brothers. He wasn't sure what he was getting himself into, but as he watched the scene unfold he knew that anything was possible, especially here at East High.
He wanted to be on the basketball team more than ever but, he knew he would have to confront his father, and that, well that would be more difficult than anything he had ever seen. His father was stubborn, some would say a bit more controlling than most, but certainly things had happened the way they did for a reason, he knew that from the start. He sat there watching the others.

Bebe quickly broke off the conversation with Chad. "I think your team needs you right now," Bebe noted. "And I don't want to get you in trouble." Bebe shrugged, now wishing that she'd worn something a bit nicer than her torn-up lavender Hana-Kimi tank and her banged-up, paint-coated jeans. She looked very out of place in a sea of Wildcat red.
"If it's all right, Troy, I'll just sit on the bleachers," Bebe offered, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I really was just hoping to see Chad before this started, but turns out I was later than Juno MacGuff, y'know?" Bebe laughed, but got the feeling that the humor was lost on them. She stiffly wandered over to the bleachers, praying she didn't get lashed at.

It took several moments for Chad to realise that Troy had said anything to him. He grinned sheepishly over at his friend before looking back to his girlfriend.
"Yeah, I probably should go," Chad said to Bebe. "They don't bother yelling at me anymore though. I'm a lost cause or something." He grinned. To be honest he was rather stoked that Bebe had even shown up for this. He totally hadn't anticipated it at all. Like, it was one of the most pleasant surprises he'd had in a while.
"Cute top," he called to Bebe, winking at her before starting to jog his usual laps.
