Allison walked into Starbucks just after school but just before rehearsal. She was a bit lacking on energy and actually had cash today. She walked gracefully up to the counter and waited for the person to take her order. Someone asked her and she gave a sweet smile and said "Hi can I have a grade mocha frappachino?' She asked sweetly. She would be splitting it up thought the afternoon. She paid and stepped back leaning her small frame on a table and looking around to see a familiar face. She started to hum as she waited. It was just random notes that she decided to sting together to make something interesting. She liked the sound usually, but there were times when she would rewind and fix some of them, but usually it worked well.

The day ended with what seemed to be another long one. It was a long day, or at least felt like it because Martha and a couple of her friends stayed after school and formed a study group to prepare for their test the following day. It wasn’t as if she minded, though, there were just days that she wished there was more time in the 24-hour day. She still had to go to her hip hop class that she has been teaching, and then back home to study some more.
On her way home, Martha decided to stop by Starbucks. There wasn’t anything like a good caffeinated beverage to energize her body. After all, she needed it. Martha stopped in front of the coffee place before looking down and changing the song on her iPod. Once she was done, she proceeded to open the door, the different aromas quickly dancing around her nose as she entered.
She walked up to the person at the register waiting to be acknowledged so she could tell the woman her order. “Strawberries and Cream Frappachino, please.” Martha told the cashier once she was given her full-undivided attention, smiling warmly as she did so. Seconds later, the amount flashed onto the register and Martha reached into her bag to retrieve the money. After she paid, she stepped aside so the customer behind her could purchase their desired beverage. She turned around once she was out of anyone’s way, folding her receipt as she walked. She looked up from her previous action to come face to face with one of familiarity.
Martha smiled at the small girl as she went to go greet her. “Hey Allison, right?” She grinned. She didn’t know her that well personally, but she had knew that she was in the Drama Club and therefore had crossed paths at one point or another, either if it was by having a mutual friend in common, or when everyone broke out of their cliques to make new friends. “Was that you just humming?” She asked. She had heard someone hum whilst she was ordering and wondered whom it was.

Allison looked up dazed before the world around her came crashing back behind her mind. She knew the girl coming over, she was a scholastic and from what she'd heard a nice one. Though Allison never personally left any of her cliques she knew how to make conversation. It was hard to leave a group of people you knew when you were too loud to be accepted by most of mankind. She listened to when girl ask if she had her name correct and smiled. "Yeah Ummm Martha?" She asked searching though her memory for a name. She was never good at names, but she tried to learn as many as she could, though she often ignored the jocks as much a possible except one.
She heard the girl ask about the tune she'd been making up the past few seconds and she smiled warmly at the topic she could easily relate to. "Oh it's nothign. I'm just messing with notes." She said pushing lightly off the table as she drink was called. She had a while before the school needed her so she wrapped her lips around the top of the straw and slurped some of the chocolaty coffee into her mouth before smiling at the relief the coldness brought her. She loved this place.
She drew near her spot again with another smile placed perfectly on her face and looked back at the shorter but less fragile looking girl . "Mind if I wait with you? I got a while before practice starts." she asked kindly not quite ready to enter the doors of the large stadium and take her spot in the warm lights that so easily blinded with hopes and dreams of the future and absorbed all energy though dancing, singing, and extreme heat. She loved it, but it could take a lot out of a person.

Martha looked around her surroundings as she waited patiently for the other girl to respond. She had noticed that several people had come in soon after. She also discovered that she still had her iPod attached to her left ear and of course, she was still holding the device. Removing the plug and wrapping it together with the abandoned plug, she briskly put it in her bag pocket before returning her gaze back to the second party, once she heard her speak. She smiled when Allison confirmed that Martha had gotten her name right and nodded soon after when she questioned Martha’s own name.
In truth, Martha knew many of her fellow classmates’ names even though she didn’t know them personally. She knew them because of gossip amongst her Wildcat friends, or because they were from another group and became friendly with one another. Before, when it was just her and the brainics, she didn’t bother to remember. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to know, she just knew it was best if she didn’t know. Martha nodded in agreement once more at the girl’s answer. “Oh I see. Cool.” She smiled as she managed to respond before the girl left to get her order.
Martha looked around, trying to pass some time as she waited for her drink. She changed her position and took a seat at the table that she was facing, so she could avoid bumping into someone, seeing as how she was blocking some paths, previously. Instinctively, she began to bob her head at an invisible beat. It was just something she did. Shortly after, the small girl returned and she smiled at the girl’s question.
“Sure!” She grinned cheerfully before looking at the clock across the room to check how long she had until her dance class started. “Same. I don’t have to go to my dance class just yet.” She added, whilst grinning once more. She was about to talk once again when she heard her order being called. Politely, she got up and held up her finger as if to say, ‘one minute,’ before walking over to the counter to retrieve her drink. Once she grasped it, she took a sip from it, savoring the taste before walking back to the table.
"So how are rehearsals?" She asked to avoid any awkwardness between them and out of curiosity.
