The hallways, the main lobby, basically the whole hotel seemed pretty much deserted at that time as Ryan and Sharpay were making their way towards the pool. Most of the staff had probably gone home, even the night shift people were nowhere to be found, they were probably just hanging out in the kitchen or somewhere else far away from where they knew Sharpay would be, except for the receptionist. Because it seemed safe enough to do so, Sharpay slowly laced her hand with Ryan's, smiling as she looked up at him while still walking slowly, taking their time even if she was so excited to be at the pool with him again, and this time, him in the proper swimming attire. There was just something about the pool now, before it was just something that she went to to get a tan, but now, it's a special place for her. It is the one place in Lava Springs that holds a special memory for her, besides their hiding place.
Sharpay beamed at Ryan as they neared the door that was the entrance to the pool, and as they got nearer and nearer, she couldn't contain her excitement anymore. She had let go of his hand and pushed the door open, running towards her pink chaise like an excited little girl. It seemed like Fulton also made sure to prepare her chaise for her, and Ryan's which was beside hers, because they looked as neat as they always were when they have just arrived there last summer. She sat down gracefully on her chaise, taking her bathrobe off and placing it over the back of the chaise. She shivered as she felt the slight cool night breeze on her back, reminding her that it wasn't really summer yet.
She sat there, slightly bouncing on her seat as she waited for Ryan to get to where she was sitting, her feet swaying excitedly as she smiled at him. "C'mon, Ry, the pool is waiting for us." While she waited for Ryan, Sharpay looked around at the deserted area and smiled triumphantly. They were alone again like it was on that night last summer, so she had another reason to thank Fulton, just not soon. It seemed like at that moment, everything was starting to be perfect again, and hopefully it will be for the rest of their weekend together. Hopefully.

Even if the resort was almost empty by now, Ryan couldn't help but look around slightly paranoid. It was true that they were mostly safe here, but it couldn't hurt to at least be a little cautious, his eyes shifting from side to side as he scanned the empty lobby. As soon as Sharpay laced her hand in his however his calmed down, and at the very least they were good actors-- or in this case at least everyone was scared of Sharpay, sometimes it had benefits. Ryan finally breathed out a heavy sigh of relief though as they got closer to the door, at this time of night the staff wouldn't be out there, and Fulton wouldn't dare cross Sharpay more than once in a night, so they were basically home free finally.
Ryan's attention snapped back up to Sharpay again when she released his hand, shaking his head at her reactions, it was amusing how easy to please she really was if she was in the right mood. He leaned up to make some snappy comment about cutting back on her sugar intake, but before he could she had already run out the door and towards the other side of the pool. Shaking his head again, he mumbled inaudibly to himself and started walking carefully around the pool edge, not wanting to fall like the last time as he wove slowly through the line of furniture by the poolside.
By the time Ryan had already shuffled halfway to where their usual chaises were, Sharpay was already not so patiently waiting for him. Ryan rolled his eyes before making eye contact with her and pulling a face of amusement as he sat down beside her. He swung his legs off the side of the chaise facing her and cocked and eyebrow at her, removing his hat and placing at the top of his chaise. "I think the pool has to wait, it's kind of built into the structure of the ground." He quipped as he kicked off his pool shoes and tucked them under his chaise. "Excited much?" He asked into a laugh as he watched her bouncing frame, awkwardly toying with taking off the undershirt he still had on, more from the cold than anything else.
Ryan stood up slowly and walked to the pool edge closest to them, peering in warily before reaching his hand down, hoping it wouldn't be too cold. He swished his hand in the pool bracing himself before sighing relief. He turned back to Sharpay and grinned, flicking the excess water at her. "I was worried that if the heater had been turned off, you were going to have to fire Fulton." He nodded, before chuckling and walking back to where she sat, finally taking off his shirt and tossing it on the chaise. He placed his hands back on his sides and walked to the edge of the pool, peering down again. "I can tell you this," He turned his head to face her. "I am not going in first." Stressing each word as he ran his hands over his slowly dimpling arms.

Sharpay stuck her tongue out at Ryan and giggled when he rolled his eyes. "Well we haven't been here for so long, and well...it's just...us again," she said, smiling nostalgically as she looked at the sparkling blue waters of the pool, still reminiscing the first night they got together here in this very same place. "Of course I'm excited. I'm with you right here again, right?" She stuck her tongue out again at him as she kicked off her Jimmy Choo flip flops. She stood up and transferred to his chaise beside him. Her feet swung as she sat beside him, watching his every move. She had found herself doing that a lot lately, just watching and observing Ryan. He had changed so much after their break-up, that was obvious, but even still he was still the Ryan she had fell in love with, it still showed a lot, especially right now.
She watched as he stood and walked towards the edge of the pool and felt the water, squealing as he flicked the excess water at her, shielding herself from it poorly. "I have to admit, Fulton had done a good job," she nodded, looking around once again at the deserted pool area. "Of course, he had to," she followed up, grinning mischievously at that statement. Sharpay was about to say something evil again, but she had lost all thoughts once Ryan took his shirt off. She was trying not to stare, but it was difficult for her not to. So he had not only changed personality-wise, but he had also changed physically. His body was even more toned now, he was more fit now, which was something she had thought wouldn't be possible, he seemed fit already way back then. She hadn't noticed that her mouth had dropped open, and only did when he turned to face her again.
This time, she grinned naughtily at what he had said. "Of course not, love, you're not going in first." She slowly stood up and walked towards him and as soon as she had reached him, her arms wrapped tightly around him as she pressed her body on his. She leaned up to whisper to his ear. "We're going in, together," she said softly, then winked at him, before jumping into the pool, still holding tightly on to Ryan as she brought him with her, creating a loud splash as they broke the calm waters of the pool.

Ryan titled his head towards Sharpay lightly, the sounds of her voice getting closer to him. "Normally I have to fight you more on stuff like that." He admitted with a sigh of relief, his breath catching in his throat slightly as she wrapped tight around him. He turned his head back to her again, a confused by equally pleased look on his face as he placed his arm over hers. "Why do I get--" He started before her whisper hit his ear, and before the red flag instantly went on. "Shar, don't" he blurted out, knowing that it was no use by now. "Wait, no... hold o--" the rest of his speech blurred into an unintelligible mangle of protests and surprised noises.
It wasn't until he was already under the water for a few seconds that he actually registered that he was in the pool, attempting to open his eyes, bubbles streaming from his mouth as he stood upright again. Ryan coughed a few times, holding his fist in front of his mouth heaving his chest before opening his eyes again. His hair was dripping in his face as he started to look around, already predicting the stereotypical look Sharpay would have on her face. "You think you're so funny, don't you?" He asked in disbelief as he slicked his hair back up on his head. He dunked his hands back under the water before wheeling around to face her, his eyebrows raised in a mock face of disdain. "You do know I'm perfectly capable of getting from point A to point B by myself, right?" He asked crossing his arms shivering slightly in the air before shaking his hair out in her direction.
Even with this, the smile never left his face as he sighed another happy sigh, slowly easing into the water. "I don't mind when it's you." He admitted the water resting just below his chin, his legs floating lazily ahead of him in the water. He placed his feet on the pool floor again and walked over to her, his voice low again. "At least we can be lucky I don't scream like you do." He said with his tongue sticking out, mocking her in the same way she had one moments before. Ryan sank into the water again, his smile being obscured by the water as he reached out his hand to lace in hers, his eyebrows the only tell to give away his goofy grin.

Under the water, Sharpay was having a hard time keeping from laughing as bubbles continued to stream from her mouth. When she felt like she was running out of air, she stood upright again and got her head out of the water, laughing so hard as she watched Ryan's reactions. She got him good again after a long time of not talking to each other, it almost felt as if nothing had happened between them, like they had never broken up. "Oh come on, Ry," she swam closer to him again as she saw the disdain look on his face, still laughing. "You know you love me," she stuck her tongue out again before she splashed him with the pool water. She continued to laugh still, only stopping when she saw his smile again, her heart jumping at that sight. As Ryan reminded her about her scream, she giggled again, splashing him with more water. "Yes, I'm very glad about that, Ry. Though your scream comes close," she nodded, still giggling about the thought of him screaming like her.
As Ryan's hand reached out to hers, she took his and gave them a gentle squeeze, smiling at how he hid his smile under water. Sharpay leaned closer to him, as she sank slowly too, her lips touching his underwater. After a short but sweet kiss, she pulled away, smiling back at him. "I really missed this, you know...spending time with you alone," she slowly let go of his hands and placed her arms around his neck as she floated. "I missed us so bad," she said in a softer voice as she rested her chin on his shoulder. "I'm just really glad for tonight Ry," her lips softly made contact with his neck. She pulled away again so she can look into his eyes, her smile never leaving her face. "Are we sure this is not a dream? Because if it is, I'd be so pissed off when I wake up. You don't wanna imagine that," she chuckled, shaking her head slightly at that thought.
"Now, I'm gonna ask you a question," she started, her arms still around his neck as her legs continued to float. "Why did you want to go to the pool again? I mean...really, why?" She asked, her eyebrow arched a little as she looked at him. "I mean, besides the obvious of wanting to swim. I know, Ry, I know," she followed up, sticking her tongue out at him, knowing how Ryan would react to that question. "I just wanna know what's on your mind, since I'm just starting to get used to the telepathy again, you know." She said, giggling as she remembered those times that they didn't even need to use their voice anymore to communicate. She knew that soon enough, they will fall back to their old routine, just better than ever this time around.

"We needed tonight." Ryan said firmly as he leaned his face up out of the water. There weren't really many more things he could say that Sharpay wasn't already saying, there might still be a lot they hadn't talked about, but some things didn't exactly need words. As her lips made contact with his neck, he couldn't help but shudder from the soft sensation. When Sharpay was facing him full-on again, Ryan leaned his head down slightly, pressing his forehead softly to hers. "I was actually just worrying about the same thing," He mumbled softly, the smile still fixed on his face. "I was worrying that all of this might still be a dream," He whispered again softly. "But no dinosaurs have shown up yet, so I think we might be awake." He nodded, chuckling softly as he traced his hands down her arm slowly.
Ryan leaned his head down slightly to make eye contact with Sharpay as soon as she said she had a question to ask, nodding in acknowledgment. "I figured it was obvious," He drawled out slowly, a teasing look on his face. "after all it does just make sense." He added for effect again, knowing how often that was the answer she used to explain things, even when it didn't usually make sense. "But, I mean, it's like how you wanted to go to Lava Springs because it does make sense for us, this is just another added facet." He leaned his face back from hers slowly and looked sideways. "just like Lava Springs is special, so is this," He shrugged before turning back to her again. "Also, I'm just really lazy and didn't feel like going all the way to our secret spot, so this seemed like the next best alternative." his eyebrows raised as he stressed the last addition to their discussion. "you weren't wrong about wanting to swim though, but I'd say that's about 40% of the reason." He looked off calculatingly.
His thoughts lingered back to something else she had said, causing him to shake his head again giving her a questioning look. "I think the telepathy is just fine, I think we were the one who weren't working." He admitted with a soft laugh, cringing slightly as he tried to focus on the fact that at least they were together now, before didn't matter anymore. "but I get the point." He added slowly, thinking that they still had to get used to falling back into a routine with one another after having been away from it for so long. Ryan inhaled heavily again before turning to Sharpay again. "I also wanted to go to the pool because at least here we can seem normal." laughing at the thought of them actually being normal. "I can't do this outside anywhere else and feel this safe." He whispered as he leaned down to kiss her, his arms easing down to her sides slowly.

Sharpay nodded at Ryan's answers. It did just make sense, and it had just proved that she and Ryan really think alike. He had just said out loud what she had been thinking all along. She giggled and lightly hit him on the chest as he mentioned being too lazy to go to their secret spot. "You're right, for now, the pool is much better," she agreed, letting her floating legs and feet touch the pool floor again. As Ryan mentioned something about the telepathy, or rather the two of them not working, Sharpay looked down for a second, closing her eyes as she shook her head gently with their foreheads still touching. "I know, Ry." She whispered, nodding gently at him as her eyes met his again. Her eyebrow rose when he mentioned about them being a normal couple for once, when in the pool. She was about to ask him why, but her thoughts seemed to have left her mind as he leaned even closer to her until his lips crashed into hers.
Sharpay was still trying to convince herself that she wasn't dreaming after all, this seemed to good to be true. She and Ryan, alone in the pool, with no disturbances, seemed too perfect even for her. Not that she was complaining, in fact, Sharpay thought, if this was a dream, please don't ever let this end. As she kissed back with all the pent up passion for him that she was suppressing for months, Sharpay pressed her body even closer to Ryan, her arms tightening around him as if she didn't want to let go of him. They had already been disturbed a lot, and now that she finally had him alone again, she wouldn't want to let it end so soon. Her hands ran through his head, messing with his soft, hatless hair. She could remember he had a hat on when they went down, and where it had gone to, she had no idea once again. Even that small detail made her feel like they were really falling back into their old routine. She made a mental note to buy Ryan more hats soon to make up for all the ones he had lost whenever they were together.
As the kiss went on, Sharpay was slowly feeling like she wasn't getting enough of him. She proceeded to deepen the kiss even more, as her legs wrapped around his waist, her fingers entangling in his hair. Realizations came crashing over her at that moment. This was what she needed, she knew he was what she needed, and yet she had managed to push him away. It was a really stupid decision, she knew now, as she felt how much she had missed these moments with him at that moment as they continued to kiss. She kissed him like she never did before, and she didn't really knew how she could stop at that point.

Ryan was still coming to grips with the same fears that Sharpay had just brought up as he felt her lips on his, that in some way this must all still be a dream and that he'd wake up again. It was only when he felt her arms tight on him again that he realized they were in sync, thinking that at this point it didn't matter if it was a dream, because at least it was a good dream. He mouth curled into a soft smirk as he leaned closer to her now, mirroring her actions slightly, the thought making him think that even dreams can't be this good-- but there was a first time for everything.
As her hands characteristically ran over his hair, Ryan took that as his cue to move his hands down to her hips, moving even closer to Sharpay as he did so. Even while he was mostly caught up in the moment he couldn't help but linger on the one thought that had been plaguing him: if they really were this good together than how could they have let it fall apart so easily, it was one of the things about them that just didn't make sense-- the popular quote of the night. What it came down to though was that they had found a way for it to work again, and work incredibly well if it meant standing here in the Lava Springs pool again almost a year later.
Everything seemed to be going perfectly, that until Sharpay wrapped her legs low on his hips. Immediately Ryan reacted, his breath hitching as he kissed her feeling his lungs pounding in his throat and ears. It was true, it wasn't the first time they had done this, but it had seemed like a lifetime had passed since they were last in intimate contact like that. Ryan's conscience was telling him that they needed to stop, more for his own sake at this point, as a series of warnings started going off in his head. He couldn't help but feel torn now, he couldn't actually find a logical reason to stop what they were doing, but out of habit something told him that they needed to slow down. Ryan's internal battle was however ended as he stumbled backwards, his balance off center due to Sharpay's added weight on him making him stumble backwards as he felt his feet slip out from underneath him as they hit the water again.

Sharpay felt Ryan's lips curled against hers, which in return made her smile as well into the passionate kiss they were sharing. She was calm, and she thought she was in full control of herself, but once she had felt his hands on her hips, she could feel her heart beating faster every second, her breathing had stopped for a second before it resumed again as she kissed him more. It was as if in that moment their minds had opened up to each other once again, because Sharpay could read Ryan's thoughts. They were really slowly falling back into their old routine. As his thoughts crossed her mind though, she felt guilt once again because she knew it was her fault why they had fallen apart. So she kissed him even more, as if trying to tell everything she hasn't told him yet, trying to apologize for what she had done to them, hoping that he would understand the reason for those things, no matter how stupid those reasons were.
As her legs wrapped tight around him, Sharpay was starting to feel the little self control she had that was left slowly going away as well. She slowly moved one of her hands that was on his hair going down to his neck, and on to his back, relishing the feeling of his warm skin against her slightly cold hand. These were the feelings she had missed while they were apart and now that they were back together, she felt like everything felt even better this time around, like it was their first time once again. She felt so lost in their kiss, and Sharpay had only felt aware of herself again when she had felt Ryan slightly losing his balance when her legs wrapped around his hips. And before she knew it, they were back underwater again.
Sharpay pulled away in surprise, and from being out of breath because of lack of air in her lungs from the intense kiss, she forced her head out of the water, gasping for air. As soon as she had slightly recovered, she turned around and looked for Ryan, instantly moving close to him again as soon as she saw him. "Ry, are you okay?" She asked, looking into his eyes, with a hint of a smile on her lips. "Sorry about that, I didn't realize I'm apparently that heavy now." She stuck her tongue out at him before placing her arms gently around his neck again. "But seriously, are you okay?" She asked again, more seriously this time. She was hoping this hasn't ruined the night for them again, but Sharpay definitely had just realized how ready she had felt at that moment, and she didn't know at that point whether it was a good or bad thing.

Ryan instantly started coughing as he reemerged from the water, the beads of water dripping down his face and obscuring his view. He sputtered the water out of his mouth slightly, shaking out his water logged ear before brushing his hair back aside and looking at Sharpay. At that moment he was more than glad no one was watching because they must have looked utterly ridiculous standing in the pool coughing and making all those strange noises, it was enough to think something was seriously wrong with them. As soon as Sharpay was close to him again Ryan chuckled and slipped his arms back around her, mirroring her actions once again. "I'm fine," he muttered to her softly as he brushed her hair away slightly.
He shook his hair out again slowly, his heart still beating fast, his reactions only worse now as he started thinking about every small detail-- his mind wandering slightly as he tried to create some distance between them. Ryan exhaled heavily, trying to slow his breathing again, swallowing heavily wondering how it was possible to sweat in a swimming pool.
It was only when Sharpay spoke again that Ryan was given a reprieve from all the thoughts that were slowly causing a slight pain in his head. "Oh yes, you're so heavy, someone get me a forklift" he mumbled as he rolled his eyes before turning back and kissing her forehead softly, shifting uncomfortably as he got closer to her for a second. "But really, I'm fine," He said with a nod as he raised his eyebrows to emphasize his point. "I'm just..." he let his dialogue fade out as he tried to think of a good way to describe how he felt that he was slowly going insane each second he was close to her. "I don't know, I'm feeling weird I guess." He sighed out, an amused look on his face as he shook his head. "yeah, weird is good, but not bad." Was the only explanation he could settle on as he kept his eyes averted from her still as he tried to find some way to relax again.

Sharpay shuddered once Ryan had his arms around her again, the feeling she was feeling just a few moments ago was coming back quickly. Her heart started to beat faster again, and even more as he kissed her on the forehead. She couldn't quite explain these feelings because she couldn't understand why she was suddenly feeling these things. At that moment she was so aware of everything, of every detail in Ryan's face, and not to mention his body, he was just so perfect. Sharpay was trying not to stare, she kept on reminding herself to focus on something else, but she couldn't help it...he just looked so gorgeous even more now. And the overwhelming thing was that he was hers again, and only hers, and now that she has him, she wouldn't want to let him go again, never again. She closed her eyes as he kissed her on the forehead, hoping that she could calm down if she did that.
When she had opened her eyes again, Sharpay had noticed the sudden distance Ryan had put between them, his eyes averted from hers. He looked as if he was having trouble breathing, and this got Sharpay worried even though she was having breathing problems as well at the moment, she just wasn't sure if that was the case with Ryan too. "Love, are you sure you're okay?" She asked again, placing a hand on his forehead. He did felt so warm, but she wasn't sure because she knew she somehow felt warm too, these weird reactions just won't go away easily.
Sharpay nodded at Ryan's answer, strangely understanding what he had said most likely because she was also feeling the same thing, just that she didn't think she was feeling sick at all. With Ryan, however, she wasn't sure if he was really sick, or just feeling the same exact thing. It was hard to tell with their telepathy, it makes things confusing sometimes. So she just decided to go on the safe path, "Ry, I think we should just head back inside for now. Maybe you're just tired, and so am I...but I'll take care of you first," she stuck her tongue out at him again as she said it. "We can always go back and claim the pool again tomorrow," she winked as she took his hand, leading him to the edge of the pool again. "For now, we'll just spend the rest of the night in our suite. And like I said, I'll take care of you," she grinned at him as she got out of the pool, going back to her chaise to put on her pink robe once again.

If his heartbeat had been quick before, it was no match to the increased pace he felt as soon as Sharpay placed her hand on his forehead. "I'm positive," He nearly choked out, fighting the violent coughs again as he fought to make eye contact with her as his face flushed violently. "Really." He added in affirmation with an amused smile on his face, touched by her concern but nervous by her close attention to detail. This was one of the time he loathed being twins, the connection they shared kept no secrets, no matter how hard he was trying to control his reactions.
Ryan couldn't help but sigh contentedly though as he focused on the warmth emanating from her hand. "That sounds like a good idea," He agreed with a matching nod as he removed her hand from his face and laced it in his, trying to calm himself with each passing second. It seemed that if he focused on anything else but his own feeling, he was able to keep a level head, minus of course his shallow, wheezing breath coming with each inhalation and exhalation. "But I don't need to be taken care of," He stressed with raised eyebrows as he followed her to the edge of the pool, noting the nervous twitch in his leg as he felt more of the night air hit him.
He let out a heavy nervous sigh as he stepped fully out of the pool, keeping his back to Sharpay while she went to grab her robe, trying to clear his thoughts before likewise grabbing his stuff. "Well at least we got some pool time." He remarked, cursing inwardly at his quicker than normal pattern of speech. "It was nice." He answered hurriedly as he threw his shirt back on, with his hat following soon after. This definitely wasn't playing it cool, but at this point even if he had been completely calm Sharpay would still know-- once again, it was a blessing and and curse.

As she was putting her robe back on, Sharpay shook her head and grinned at the stubbornness of Ryan about being taken care of, one of things that they share as twins. "Whatever, Ry," she said as she turned around to face him again with a smirk on her lips, her hands on her hips. Of course, she wasn't convinced at all. "I'm older, I won't listen to you, little bro," she stuck her tongue out at him as she took his warm hand gently in hers again, still confused by all these feelings. Something just seemed really weird at that moment, and it was obvious even in the way that Ryan was speaking. She knows he usually doesn't speak that fast, unless he was nervous or was trying to keep something from her, or something like those. Could it be possible that they were both feeling the same...feelings at the moment and that they both didn't want the other to know?
After slipping on her Jimmy Choo flip-flops once again, she squeezed Ryan's hand, trying to act as calm and normal as possible, but she could also feel her own legs slightly shaking as she remembered what had just happened in the pool earlier. It was really intense, and for some reason she felt some kind of boldness in her. She shook her head gently again, hoping that by the end of the night, they would feel alright again. And just when she thought she was starting to feel okay again, her eyes met Ryan's, and the weird feelings inside of her intensified once again, and all she could think of was how good it felt when they kissed like that. She tried to focus more and listened to what he was saying rather than let her mind wander, but it was difficult, because she also kept on noticing how fast he was talking. She nodded at what he said though, agreeing that it was at least nice to be out here by the pool even for just a short while.
"Like I said Ry, we can get some more pool time tomorrow if you want," Sharpay said, smiling at him as she started to lead him towards the building again. "I just want you to get some rest for now, you need it," she said, smirking at him. Her pace of walking was slow too, as she was trying to steady her balance still, that kiss still left her weak on the knees. She decided that as to not seem even more obvious as she was being at the moment, she would just continue talking and talking, and it would also keep her mind blocked from Ryan, she didn't want him to find out the things she was thinking at the moment, she didn't want to scare him. "You know what you should do, Ry...once we get to the suite, you should take a shower, and then I would too. And since we both know you would be the first one to finish, wait for me in bed...but don't sleep yet." Sharpay continued giving him instructions until they were finally inside the building and on their way back to the suite again, still hoping that their first night since they've gotten back together again would end up just fine.
