Sharpay gasped at his answer, "Well I'm not going if you think I'm a jerk!" She stomped her feet, glaring at Zeke. "The only jerk here is you, and I might consider your invitation if you finally admit that." She said through gritted teeth.

"Invation..." Zeke thought "Alright, Im a jerk for saying Ryan is a jerk." Zeke said, "Im sorry Sharpay, Ryan." Zeke said looking at Ryan. They had became friends, he guessed. "Im sorry, again." Zeke said getting out of the pool. "Now Im gonna go change." Zeke said turning away.

Sharpay sighed. She turned her back on Zeke, not wanting to see him anymore at the moment. She went back to her chaise and slumped down on it, placing a hand on her forehead, while her other hand kept on wiping her lips off the imaginary dirt that was brought by the unwanted kiss.

Ryan hopped down off the high life guard chair as he watched Zeke's retreating back, by one crux he hated him for all the trouble he was causing his sister, but by the same token he understood why he was so taken with Sharpay; Ryan was glad for once he was the lucky one, he wasn't the one getting brought along in a wake of self brought heart ache. Zeke would just have to learn his place in this relationship.
Ryan slumped down on his usual chaise beside her, he wanted to hold her hand so badly, but he knew it was much too early for them to allow that, not when people could still see them as clear as day. He instead tucked his hands behind his head and peered over at her. "Are you okay?" He asked softly, his fingers splaying out behind his head as he tried to fight the urge to comfort her in the way he was accustomed.

Sharpay looked at Ryan, who was finally sitting on his chaise, and smiled gently. "Better now." She whispered, looking knowingly at him.
She kept on touching her lips with still a look of disgust on her face, as if it has some kind of disease now. She shuddered as the earlier events replayed on her mind. She couldn't believe it had actually happened to her, of all people. She didn't know Zeke could get too...obsessed. She suddenly felt scared at the possibility of him doing worse things to her.

Ryan kept watching Sharpay with a slight look of concern forming in his eyes, he knew that she was worried, but the look in her eyes was one he didn't recognize from her. Ryan was clearly frightened at the idea that he might not be able to make this better, but that wasn't going to stop him from trying.
Against his better judgement he reached his hand out for hers, trying to communicate everything he needed to say without saying.
I won't let him touch you like that ever again.

Sharpay looked at Ryan, now tears are forming on her eyes again. She had forgotten everything else, the norms, the rules, and everything else around them as she jumped towards Ryan's chaise. She couldn't help it, she need the security, the comfort, the love, and everything else that he brings.
She wrapped her arms tightly around him, her shoulders shaking as she buried her face on his chest. She couldn't help but feel violated. Who knows what could have happened if Ryan didn't come and save her on time? She shook the thought away, wanting to forget everything that had happened earlier.

Ryan gladly wrapped his arms around her, trying to soothe her, anyone who was watching could be damned now, he was a brother comforting his sister when she needed him the most. He started to shush he lightly when he felt her shoulders shake against him, he wasn't sure if she was crying yet, back he didn't want to second guess it. He kissed the top of her head firmly and looked out over the pool angrily.
"I promise you with every ounce of my being, Zeke Baylor's lips will meet my fist again before they touch you again." He said his voice shaking lightly, bubbling with anger from all that had happened since Zeke had appeared in their lives again.

Sharpay looked up at Ryan, tears streaming down her face. "You won't let him get near me, would you? You won't leave me alone, would you?" She asked, her voice so small and it was almost inaudible because of the cracking, but she knew Ryan knows what she meant exactly. She kept a tighter hold on him with every uttered words.
Sharpay knew the answer to her questions already. Ryan was always there, has always been there, and she knew he would still be there on her side when she needs him, especially on situations like this.

Ryan brought his lips down to her forehead and just left them there for a moment, lightly stroking her arms as she shook, her body wracked with sobs. He just held her, wanting to steal away all the fears and doubts she had. He couldn't stand to see her like this, he had half a mind to find where Zeke had run off to and give him another good left hook like he did several nights prior near the pool.
"I wouldn't leave you alone even if you demanded it of me." He said firmly, mumbling into her hair.

Sharpay nodded and felt so relieved inside. She knew Ryan meant what he had said, and he would stick with his words. She slowly started to calm down, her shoulders had already stopped shaking. She sighed contentedly, knowing she will be safe now. Her Prince is just there beside her, after all.
She then started to chuckle when she recalled what Zeke had said earlier. "He said he wanted to be my Prince..." she said, shaking her head. "He didn't know I already have my Prince Charming, and I would never trade him for another."

Ryan smiled down at her as he watched her slowly relax in his arms, he liked being her strong protector, it was a role she'd played so well for him when they had been younger; it was Ryan's turn now to step up.
Ryan chuckled lightly when she called him Prince Charming, he was still getting used to all the accolades for things that he had been doing all his life for her, but it was different now. "You know, I can't blame Zeke for wanting to be with you, after all," He said shrugging lightly. "You're kinda the most perfect girl in the world." He said into a sigh, kissing her hand quickly.

Sharpay blushed yet again from her head to toe, her insides that were cold a while ago, now starting to feel warm again. She smiled lovingly at him, wanting to return the affection so bad. She leaned onto him more, smiling.
"Ry...don't kiss me just yet. I think I have to wash my lips for hours." She said, grinning at her own joke. Although, she really did feel like washing her lips for hours. Maybe she might just do that.

Ryan chuckled into a sigh as he leaned down close to her ear. "Trust me, I would kiss you and make it all better." He said smiling down at her as he brushed some of her blonde hair out of her eyes. "But the problem with that is that we're still by the pool and it's still daytime." He said laughing slightly louder now, making sure to let his lips brush right by her ears as he laughed.
He looked down at her happily. "I'd be okay kissing you right now other wise, even if it meant that I'd be indirectly kissing Zeke." He added trying to make light of the aweful situations that they'd encountered.

Sharpay giggled when his lips brushed by her ear. She looked at him lovingly, as her hands clutched lightly on his shirt.
She then laughed at his comment and smacked his chest lightly. "Yeah, but I want your lips to be kissed by me only, not by Zeke." She answered back, grinning. She was glad the people that were left in the pool aren't that close to them to hear their conversations.
She kept her head on his chest, loving this feeling so much.
