Ryan placed his hands on the table, folding them smugly while he continued to move his foot along her leg, watching her squirm lightly. He was winning this game, and it felt good. "So we should... or-or-der." He said stuttering as he felt her leg move up his. His eyes widened in panic, the tables had certainly turned.
"Oh, look a menu." He nearly screamed as he ripped the menu off the table, his lips twitching awkwardly, he could even feel his nose twitching this time. He held the menu up to his face and looked over at her, her wink held so much seduction and torture at the same time. He was turning bright red and coughing violently, as he tried his best to focus on the others at the table, mainly his parents.

Sharpay almost laughed loudly at the reaction of her brother. She kept the menu near her face, her shoulders shaking because of the unwanted laughter creeping up on her throat, while her heels kept on tickling Ryan at the right places.
When she was finally sure she wouldn't let out the laugh, she placed the menu back on the table, looking at Ryan innocently and concernedly. "Ry, are you okay?" She asked him after his violent coughing, placing a hand on his back.

Ryan kept his eyes focused on the menu ahead of him, his hands shaking lightly as he began to sweat as she began to tickle him in certain places. His eyes began to water lightly, his face now such a deep red he must have looked like he was choking now.
"Yes--Shar... I'm f-fine." He stuttered out, unable to put down his menu for fear that his parents would ask him what was wrong, which was something he didn't want to have to vocalize to his parents, ever.
It was time to get some leverage back, he removed his hand from the menu slowly, his actions slow and decided as he placed his warm hand on her nearby thigh, tickling lightly, tiny circles with his fingers.

This action made Sharpay jumped and squeal again, but louder this time. Her eyes widened in panic at the now full attention of her parents, and probably half of the whole dining hall. Sweats started to form on her forehead, and her cheeks turning a deep shade of red, probably as red as Ryan's.
She started to stutter as she started to think of a right excuse this time. "M-M-Mouse...o-on m-my...f-f-feet!" She suddenly removed her legs from Ryan's, and pushed his hand away quickly, as she saw the possibility of her parents looking underneath the table.

Ryan relaxed slightly as her leg pulled away, he could start to breathe again. He slipped back on his shoe, his menu still up in front of his face while he let out calming breaths; their parents so knew something was up now.
we are so busted, so busted, we're going to get grounded forever.
He looked down at her feet, pretending to see the mouse, trying to make the story seem plausible now. "Dad, she's right, I just saw the mouse," He said as he put down his menu now, hoping he looked normal by now. "I should probably go tell Fulton or someone." Ryan said helpfully as he looked at his parents, trying to find a way to leave.

Vance and Katherine kept looking at children and noticing such strange behavior. They had never acted like this before and began to wonder if something was going on. Those two were hiding something, but what exactly? Both parents began to worry slightly.
As soon as Sharpay squeaked loudly and both her and Ryan admitting to seeing a mouse run by under the table, Katherine jumped up quickly onto her chair, and started to scream loudly. She did a squirmy little dance on her chair as she screamed and flounced her arms around, still holding her empty wine glass.
Vance quickly looked under the table to spot the mouse, but he didn't see a thing. He looked at Ryan and Sharpay over the table.
"Are you two SURE you saw a mouse? If you did, we will probably have to shut the resort down and get an exterminator in here. It's not sanitary to have a mouse, or probably mice running around at this first class resort."
Vance looked slightly paniced at having his elegant resort popping up in the newspaper as unsanitary and having rodents all over the whole place. He can only imagine how business would decline, and how his good reputation would go down with it.
Katherine, still flailing about, spoke up.
"I think I saw it! I think I saw it too!" Katherine barely managed to get out, without slurring too much.
Vance looked around her, horror written all over his face.
"Oh god, this is terrible!" Vance looked around and saw all the guests looking at the family and the scene they were causing. He felt so out of place now, and he had no idea how to control this situation.

Sharpay wanted to bite her tongue for the excuse she had made. She never thought it would get this out of hand. She suddenly shook her head at her father and mother.
"N-no, there's no mouse, I, um...just felt a loose thread from my dress brush my feet, so...yeah." She said, quickly, trying to calm her mother down as well. "I'm sorry." She said, looking down at her lap.
"So, um...let's order now." She said grabbing the menu again, hoping she won't get reprimanded because of her mistake. She didn't dare look at Ryan now, she was way too embarrassed.

Ryan tried not to laugh, this was by far the best family dinner they'd had in a long time, he didn't mean for it to get that weird, and he didn't want Sharpay to get into trouble, but for the first time in a long time, he felt like his family was finally there, reacting to things for the first time ever.
Ryan shook his head and looked up. "I love you guys." He said brightly as he scanned the menu finally trying to find something to eat after all that time.
He reached his hand under the table slyly and took Sharpay's hand carefully. I'll make this up to you later, I love you most

Sharpay felt her embarrassment slowly fading away when Ryan reached for her hand. Even if she was still not looking at him, she smiled, letting him know the action was appreciated. She squeezed his hand lightly. I love you too, and I'm glad I'm not the perfect child now. She chuckled gently at the thought.
She can finally relax now. And she finally saw what was written on the menu, for the first time that night.

Vance looked at his daughter in disbelief. How could she mistake a mouse for a string on her dress? Obvious he was exceptionally relieved after all, but still, the kids were up to something weird. He wasn't sure, but he was going to watch them more carefully from now on. Vance reached up to help Katherine down from her crazy chair dance. He smiled lovingly at his completely drunk wife, and she stumbled to get down, even with his help.
Katherine smiled at her husband, and once her feet reached the ground, she laid a huge kiss on his lips, and wrapped her arms around his neck. Vance pulled her close to him, as the restaurant looked on with claps and whoops as the owners of the club kissed for all to see.
Katherine smiled at her children as she plopped down back in her chair, and asked for more wine to be brought over.
"Sharpay, Ryan...my only hope for you two is to find someone that you love as much as I love your father. And someone that will take care of you in your drunken stupor." Katherine knew she probably shouldn't have admitted she was drunk, but hey, she WAS drunk! So she could say whatever she wanted!
Vance chuckled at his wife, and looked at Ryan and Sharpay, and noticed Sharpay smiling to herself, while looking at the menu, and Ryan, smiling as well. Maybe there was something they were hiding. It seemed to be classic signs of young love. Vance smiled to himself.
So, maybe that's what has the twins all acting up. Sharpay has found herself a young man, and Ryan must be smitten over a young lady.
Vance was suddenly very happy for his children.
I hope they let me meet their sweethearts soon. It will be nice to see them in love.

Sharpay fought the strong urge to throw up when their parents kissed like that, and with all the people watching, for crying out loud. She shook her head, feeling slightly dizzy. But somehow, she was glad that their father didn't shout at her for her mistake.
While she saw her parents though, she couldn't help but feel envious. They can showcase their love anytime, anywhere...the one thing she wanted to do with Ryan ever since they got together. She couldn't help but smile, though, at her mother's words. She always says the best things when drunk.
"...my only hope for you two is to find someone that you love as much as I love your father. And someone that will take care of you in your drunken stupor."
We already did, mom...we already did. She grinned inwardly, squeezing Ryan's hand again.

...my only hope for you two is to find someone that you love as much as I love your father. And someone that will take care of you in your drunken stupor."
Ryan laughed at his mother's semi lucid remark, even though she wouldn't remember any of this in the morning, which would be much easier for the three other Evans, if they could just write this off as a good family dinner, then Ryan could sleep easy.
Ryan smirked lightly when he thought about sleeping easy with the someone that will take care of him in his drunken stupor wrapped tightly in his arms.
"So," Ryan started softly. "What's for dinner?" He said smirking at his parents, his face calm and innocent to his parents, while his thoughts wandered back slightly from the lovely dinner they would have.

Katherine suddenly realized that they still hadn't ordered when Ryan spoke up. She stood up, and yelled across the restaurant for the waiter to come over.
"Now, that's you take care of business, kids!" Katherine said happily, and very slurred as she plopped back down in her chair, obviously very proud of the way she 'took care of business.'
The waiter immediately came over to take the order of the Evans family. Katherine ordered a small salad, with another glass of wine, while Vance ordered a juicy rib eye steak, with a glass of water. One of the parents had to stay sober tonight.
Katherine turned to Sharpay and Ryan.
"Whatcha gonna order Shyan and Rarpay?" Katherine suddenly burst into a giggle fest. "Did you all just hear what I said?"
Katherine continued to giggle, but stopped immediately when another waiter brought her the refill glass of wine. She took a large gulp from it, and smiled happily at her children and her husband.
"I'm having the best time tonight." Katherine said to all with a huge cheesy love grin on her face.
Vance smirked and laughed softly at his wife. He knew he should take her wine away, but somehow she would just manage to get a waiter to sneak her some in the kitchen, like at last year's Christmas party. He would at least prefer to know how much she was drinking. Vance nodded at his children.
"Go ahead and order you two. Whatever you want."

Sharpay shook her head at her mother, who was acting like she isn't the owner of this club. She grinned as she looked down at the menu, scanning it for some seconds, but she felt like she wasn't hungry anymore, at least not for food.
"I guess I'll just have a salad as well. And a strawberry smoothie." She said. She looked towards Ryan as they all waited for his order.
I'm not so hungry anymore, Ry.

Ryan smiled at his dad softly, knowing that there were still some rough patches ahead, just not tonight thankfully. Ryan scanned the menu, he actually wasn't much of fan of the food here, he rarely ordered any real meals off the menu anyways. Ryan would fill up on appetizers until the dining hall closed, and then he would just take the key and go into the kitchen whenever he pleased.
Ryan gave Sharpay a miniscule nod of understanding, he'd order something he could eat quick, and then the twins would pretend to have some reason to leave the table; they had a myriad of excuses ranging from rehearsal, to being tired, something was on tv, and not feeling well. He'd have to play it by ear to which one they'd use.
"I'll just have the shrimp cocktail, and chocolate milk." He said looking to the water smiling broadly. Ryan Evans may have been 17 years old, but there would be no denying him his chocolate milk when he asked.
We'll get out of here soon, I promise
